My instructors and program coordinator are very professional and knowledgable and make the experience outstanding, however, the administration and senior "leadership" are worried about only one thing...money. If you have a choice do not attend. It feels like you are just another number.

I was a student at Keiser Career College, what is known now as Southeaster Career College. I am frankly appalled at the behavior and lack of professionalism that this school condones. In the short time I have attended this school, I have had to deal with a dean who is very unprofessional. I would never recommend this school to anyone.

the dean made my experience a horrible experience and I would never go back to this school or recommend it to anyone

the dean of the school treats you kind at first and then he shows you his true side by being very unprofessional and disrespectful

I was so scared at first to a take online classes because I had a fear I wouldn't be able to keep up. But, I have been able to maintain a A average. I am so happy with my decision to further my education online because it is so convent.

Most of my school consists of full time working adults. Who have chosen to further their education to secure their future. I am very happy with my decision to attend Southeastern College

Online classes are challenging. With limitations on peer interactions that one enjoys by having an on campus class, it can get frustrating. I believe the instructors do alot to promote the peer relationships within the online course rooms. With my online class, the school is relatively local, as oppose to other schools that are based completely online. This gives me confidence that if we wanted to set up a meeting or study group, it would be feasible and counter any of the "disconnected" feelings one might have when logging in to their class.

The students here at Southeastern are career motivated. Although the school offers diploma programs in addition to their degrees, many of the students are taking classes that will further their marketability within the industry. With flexible schedules and mediums for taking classes, the school does seem to be geared toward the working student. The classmates I share my time with, all are family oriented and securing their education means that they'll be providing better opportunities for them as they grow older.

For my degree, the first part is General Education credits. During this time, there is a great amount of flexibility in regards to medium, this makes it easy to work around outside interference. As the coursework continues into the core program, then it's a bit less flexible because there are many clinical hours required.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The tuition is high, however the program has a high wage earning potential and I believe I will be rewarded in the long run.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
It cost a lot and there are not enough scholarships or grants to cover half of the tuition for a semester.

I love my school and all the help everyone gives. The only thing that concerns me is that there are not a lot of scholarships or grants that I school can get and its really expensive.

There are many different types of people that go to my school. They do not base it on anything about you if you can get in or not they base it on if they believe you will succeed in the programs, and that is determined by an entrance test.
College Senior 2012-10-23T15:12:04Z
I love the school the only problem is they delayed my graduation date because they are starting my core classes later than they said due to lack if students in the class.

Network Doesn't Always Work. Sometimes the network doesn't always work. Don't know what the problem is and the school hasn't figured it out either.

Resources on Campus Are Not Bad. They have a media room and a computer room. The computer room is usually taken up with students taking ATI tests. The media room seems like people go there to hang out and talk instead of the lounge. I usually just go to the regular library in my neighborhood its much more quiet.

Instructors Are Involved and Enjoy Teaching – The positive experience I have received during my schooling is the enthusiasm the instructors have for teaching. They have been so helpful and a joy to be around to grasp every knowledgeable morsel they have to share about their experiences and real life situations. I really enjoy my instructors and the knowledge I am receiving from them.

Always Changing – The school has another new DON and the rules are always changing. Even if when we started there was a handbook. The handbook keeps getting revised. Sometimes it can be confusing because you don't know what guidelines the school is going by.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Disappointed in the School – Financial aid has changed employees three times since I have been at this school and they don't seem to have much experience in VA loans or any scholarships. They are only interested in having students take out loans and not help with finding scholarships or help with funding for the students to continue their education. The instructors are knowledgeable and I am learning alot from them.

The Post Grad services at my school vary from major to major. With my post grad services, we get put in the food industry by our Head chef's to show us what the real world is like cooking. And the best part is our last semiseter is paid to do that! Keiser really tries to help with finding a job for you after college, and even while you're in college.

Students at Keiser – I am involved in a program (Culinary) at my school. With that, there are only few students I interact with due to the class sizes being small. But we do have students of all ethnic backgrounds, and religions going to the school. I do even have a gay friend attending so all different kinds of students get in. I don't feel the school discriminates or anything to that nature.

Keiser offers many great Academics. They have classes for your general study that you take while your taking classes for your major. The school isn't like much colleges where you have to take all of your general education classes (Pre-Req's) and then focus on your major. Keiser believes you focus on your major and general education. The class sizes are small but that gives you more one-on-one with your teachers and that one-on-one time helps you understand more which lightens your work load. And the teachers are always willing to help after class if you don't understand something.

A School With Convenience – Every staff member has gone out of their way to help and make things more convenient for me. I have class on a 24/48 schedule because our instructors work in the field as well. It is very nice to go to school one day then have two off. This gives you room for your clinicals, homework, and papers. Any hassle or fustration I had was quickly solved by the friendly staff, and with a certificate program I don't have to worry about transferring credits. I know some who have transferred credits with no issue.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
