I have just begun the core classes of the Physical Therapist Assistant program, and I can already say that it is an awesome program so far - equally interesting and challenging at the same time (The PTA program is reputed to be the most competitive, as well as one of the most challenging programs available). I have had some healthcare education before, and this has shown me how much I've either forgotten or didn't know. Best part of the program for me is that all the professors are DPTs (Doctors of Physical Therapy), with each professor having close to or over 20+ years of experience in the field, so when you get into this program, you know you're going to be taught by the best of the best! They strive to go beyond teaching you at the regular level of most PTA programs and raise the bar on what you will learn.
Classes are small (24 person maximum), and courses are taught in a modular system (one class per month), so you don't get overloaded with multiple classes at a time. You focus on that one class a month. I'm also lucky to be in a class of go-getters who are passionate about the PTA profession and committed to helping each other get through the program so we can all jumpstart our careers.

I appreciate that there is an abundance of computer labs on campus, with a good number of computer stations for students to use. The network is very good, and I have not had any issues with the computers themselves; however, there were some hiccups with the printers for a while. It took I.T. a bit of time to replace the driver on the color printer, so students at that lab could not make color prints at the time - this has since been resolved. I guess, the only improvement I would see would be to make sure the printers are in top shape, and maybe to add a few more since students print plenty of pages (myself included) when they hit the lab (for course handouts, slides, references, etc.) and there can be a backlog on prints.
One more plus, the wi-fi access is good. I was able to bring my laptop and work on it on a few occasions.

There is tons of diversity at Keiser, which is a good thing. Their is also both female and males that go to school.
College Junior 2013-09-16T21:21:35Z
Well they have computers for you to use on campus and they do offer tons of events for their students to go to.

Keiser helps you find a job, it doesn't guarantee you get one but they help you with everything you need.
College Junior 2013-09-16T21:19:10Z
When you start a program at Keiser you do one class a month and when you are finished with that you do the next class the next month. Also, the great thing is that you work hands on with what you are trying to do which is very helpful.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The FA process wasn't bad, but tuition can be lower
College Junior 2013-09-12T18:30:16Z

I had a really good experience at Keiser University. The professors are more than willing to help the students. Especially if there is a day that you cannot attend the class, they will make sure that you are caught up with the class. This is the first time that I have been in a school were the professors go the extra mile for the students.

I had a good experience at Keiser University. The staff are there to help you, and they show it. I was able to attend school & work because of how flexible the class schedules are. You can be a full time student, a hybrid student, and online student. The staff manages to stay busy by providing students with seminars and activities. If you need to go to school and have a flexible schedule Keiser University is the school to go.

The campus is very nice and up to date. The student center and library are very nice and helpful. There doesnt seem to be a lot of activities, a few here and there. Overall this campus seems to be on top of things.

SInce this is a private college they make sure everyone is dedicated to succeeding. They keep the classes small so there is more one on one interactions. The student body is diverse.

I gave this school an A because they are very friendly and clearly want to help the student succeed. I have checked out other colleges and the enrollment process was a huge hassle, here it was made easy. The reason I gave it the minus part on the A is that at some points, I will have to go to school monday thru friday which makes working full time very difficult.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
As of now, I feel as if I am getting a very, worthwhile education. to me, I am a single mother, and while I did Receive some financial aid, the course of my choice for my new profession is fairly high, i would love to be able to qualify for more benefits, which I think would relieve some of the stree and worry , and allow me to concentrate more on my class assignments and homework instead of thinking how I am going to pay for School, But I feel strongly that i will Succeed and have hopefully have no major issues in paying back my student loans.
