Tuition & Financial Aid:
The quarter I started my college experience at Kendall College, the administration gave me a 50% deduction of tuition. I was very happy that my tuition rate was cut in half and I didnt need to take out loans right away. When I applied for financial aid I was declined. I was disappointed about npt receiving financial aid, but had to except it especially since I was receiving a lowered tuition rate. However, there were some hidden fees with my tuition. Even if I didn't use these certain items, I would still be charged for it. With Capstone, there is an extra $75 dollars a term. I wasn't aware that I was going to have to pay extra money for my capstone senior project.

The classes that I have recently and currently are taking can be flexible and/or frustating. In the past, classes fill up very quickly even though I register for my classes asap. I commute to my school and when my classes are spread out too much, this causes frustration and stress. I try to chose classes that are continuously one right after another so I don't have to commute every day of the week. With regarding to transferring credits, College of Lake County are sister schools with Kendall College. Therefore, the classes that I took at CLC all transfered to Kendall.

I had apprehension when it came to taking online classes at first. Not having a teacher to ask questions to right away and having to make sure I kept up with my work on my own. But once i got into it I was able to keep myself accountable and succeed without having to commute everyday to and from school.

There are career fairs constantly being hosted at different locations including on campus. This makes job searching accessible for students who are looking for part-time as well as full-time post-grad work. Career counselors are ready for walk-in appointments to build a career plan and assist students in setting goals for themselves.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The financial Aid office is a little disorganized compared to last year. Things are being set in place and awards are being given out last-minute. Last year, I received all information four months before classes began and was well-prepared.
While I do not doubt that things will be handled quickly and efficiently due to the time crunch, I hope that this does not continue as a standard.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
