I have taken a lot of classes online thru KSUA. I think it's fair to say that I have had both fantastic online classes and mediocre/poor ones. The same goes for the teachers. I have had a couple of fantastic teachers who keep in good contact, motivate the student to think about the coursework and are very accessible and helpful. On the other hand, I just had a course with a very crabby, grammar nazi who made a potentially interesting course into a dreadful mess. So it really can go either way. The majority have been fantastic, though, so that is my main experince.

I have really enjoyed attending KSUA. I have enjoyed most of my courses and had some fantastic teachers. Of course, there is the rare exception. If I had the power to change anything, I wouldn't. Even the not-so-positive experienced have helped me grow.

I think that KSUA is a unique campus. Despite the fact of it being in the small town of Ashtabula, not surrounded by very much.. it' is a beautiful campus, they are constantly doing projects to bring it up "to the times" and for being in a pretty poor area, they really try to offer good things for the students. The opportunities are growing.

I have some schedule limitations and the nice thing is that a lot of my classes are available online. (For the communications degree). But of the courses I need to take on campus, they have had limited selections in the past that might make it challenging for my babysitting needs.

I am a Communications major and I really enjoy the teachers, the variety of courses and the topics covered in the courses. Most courses don't have a terribly heavy load of work outside of class (although a couple of the online courses have had pretty intensve writing requirements - these are made known prior to the courses).

Online courses are very simple in features, discussion boards are very useful as well. Every online course has gone very well for me, teachers are very nice and helpful.

Some semesters went fine while others gave me a lot of trouble because when you don't check online if something went wrong, you wouldnt know. Keeping a close eye is very valuable and key.

The online website provides you with internships and jobs, but they are hard to understand how to use, and may not be very effective depending on area.

I just chose my major this semester, however with the help of the staff I am pretty much still on track. I haven't taken any classes that I didn't already need.

I have never had any issues with myself or other students saying that they feel akward in any way. The student body is friendly and easy to get along with.

I love Kent State Ashtabula, everything I could ask for!

I absolutely love Kent State Ashtabula, I have only had to actually go to school for 3 classes in 3 semesters! The staff is friendly and very helpful with everything I've ever needed! Great school for top notch education!

With the classes I'm taking, the work load is tough but I have every assignment completed and turned in on time. Taking online classes has helped a lot with scheduling classes around my life.

We have a very nice library and cafeteria, but our school lacks an appropriate gym area.

I am displeased with their help in awarding grants.
College Senior 2012-11-11T13:22:38Z
They have a lot of student resources when it comes to advisors, helpful people (student ambassadors) and such, but because it is a smaller campus, the student life activities are lacking. They have a "gym" that is a hole in the wall. They do have quite a few groups that meet with different focuses like young republicans, lgbt, drama, etc.

Not only are the online courses convenient, but the courses I have taken have had great content and most of my professors have been good. They are involved with the student, even though it's not in person.
College Junior 2012-09-18T16:30:59Z
There are many campus activities and clubs. I for one am in the volleyball club. There is a workout center that Kent students can use for free. There are many tutors available on campus and online to help students accomplish their academic goals.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
