Shouldn't Be This Difficult

It is difficult to get a reliable person to help with financial aid. Calling is often pointless, you have to go to the financial aid office which is rather inconveniently placed.

My Tips on Financial Aid

Though I do receive a lot in loans, but not a lot in grants in scholarships. Which there will be even more that I will have to pay off. I just wish they would have available that can be seen.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is pretty easy to apply for at Kent. On the website, it may be kind of confusing to understand what financial aid you are receiving, but if you go to office and talk to a financial aid representative, they are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about their job.

Advice on Financial Aid

The Student Financial Aid Office is generally easy to work with, and seems to act with the best interests of students in mind. That being said, they can be somewhat difficult to access without making a physical visit, as a phone call almost always begins with a lengthy stay on hold, during which a robotic voice touts the University's merits to the sounds of elevator music. However, individuals from the financial aid office are helpful and always willing to assist. Most students' complaints have to do with a perceived lack of communication between Student Financial Aid and the Bursar's Office. In the end, however, most students report satisfaction with their financial aid package and agree that the process is not as much of a hassle as some make it out to be.
