The academics at Keuka College are very strong and help is always available to anyone in need of help. The social aspect of the college is very poor. There are not many things to do socially off-campus, unless you are 21 and can go to one of the three local bars.

Health & Safety:
I had more than half of my personal belongings stolen from my locked dorm room while away on Thanksgiving vacation. The security was sketchy and I no longer felt safe even locking my door.

The winters are very tough because of the lake effect snow. The summers are beautiful

The school policies are very strict. It was difficult to get away with what most find is harmless.

Only some students are allowed to live off-campus. You have to be at least a junior. The housing that is available to those who are eligible are mainly lake houses since Keuka College is located on a lake. This is a nice bonus. Some houses, though, are not good quality.

The resident advisors often checked students' bags when coming in from outside; therefore, it is not easy for students to carry alcohol inside to their rooms.

The resident advisors in the dorms are very strict. Some of the buildings are updated, but most are very outdated. When I was a freshman, the school over-accepted too many freshman and I had to live with two other roommates in a two person room - most freshman that year had to go through this. It was very cramped.

I preferred to stay in my dorm to do computer work. The only computer labs I knew of were in the Lightner Library - upstairs and downstairs. I remember it always being very hard to find a computer, especially when needing two computers adjacent to each other if you were working on a project with a partner.

In my opinion, the town is too small for me. The town has many amish communities and you can feel the "amish vibe" throughout the town. There is a lot of country, which is beautiful to look at, but I prefer a bigger city.

Keuka College is so small that sporting events are rather popular since that is where most students "hang out". I feel a lot of students go just to mingle; therefore school spirit is rather high. Students show their support by making signs and their involvement in fundraising.

I loved the Organizational Communication degree program at Keuka College. I had a few professors multiple times for different courses which is nice, since I would already be acquainted with them and their teaching style. The workload is reasonable.

The academics are incredibly managed and staffed. The class sizes are very small, which helps students focus and allows professors to keep a close eye on their grades.

I only remember a P&C (now Tops), a McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, Pizza Hut, and a pizza place. There was also a couple diners. I would have loved to see a higher-star restaurant, but the town is too small. You have to drive to Geneva to eat somewhere decent, especially for a modern restaurant and something that is not a chain.

When I attended Keuka College from 2007-2009, I received a great scholarship that helped. I am not sure about financial aid as my father applied for me.

When I attended Keuka College from 2007-2009, I remember the parking being terrible. There were color coded permits and you were only allowed to park in your designated spot. I hated it.

The RD is great. But the freshmen dorm for all freshmen is on a hill away from everything. There is an all female dorm that freshmen females can move into but there are limited spaces, and there is limited space for another building for all grade levels.

there is no peer pressure of drugs or alcohol but there are parties that go on. it just depends on who the person is how they like to socialize.

I am in the ASAP program so I don't take my classes at the campus I take them at Damon Campus in Rochester, NY
College Senior 2013-08-23T21:10:13Z
The computers are fast and available to all students. We have a lot, so even if it's busy there will be one open computer.

The department of campus housing is terrible. The people are terrible, and theydont care much about the students needs.

Although keuka is very isolated, it is Beautiful place to attend school. It's much different from the area that I live in back home

You have to be outgoing and find the events on campus.
Recent Alumnus 2013-06-30T18:55:14Z
There are many local resturants in the area. But if you are willing to drive quite a ways

It usually depends on if you want to be on the lake or not. You should start looking early if you are considering this option.

It depends you have to find the parties and whatnot.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
