It's a private liberal arts for a reason. There's frequent drinking and parties, public hookah smoking, and yes, even pot. If you're of age, you're allowed to have alcohol in your room and drink it, but not publicly(note: this hasn't stopped students before), but if you do get caught, with anything, your best option is to fess up. You'll get a slap on the wrist, and a warning. They won't call your parents or anything- that's for the second time. Third time it presents a problem, you'll be put up against the academic board and possibly suspended for a term. Mostly, just be safe. That's what everyone cares about. Campus safety won't judge you, neither will most teachers and administrators, being the place it is, everyone knows what it's like(they were once young too). So, not a big problem. Just make sure you know what's important to you, and you can still have fun.

Campus Safety does not like loud music (party music) so parties don't last long. It's a very quiet campus that doesn't get much action because people can't really party.

Campus Safety is more interested in making sure that you are safe and not hurting yourself than getting you in trouble or trying to catch you in the act of doing anything such as drinking, etc. As for academic strictness, there is the honor board, and there is absolutely no leeway on cheating. You will go before a group of your peers and some faculty to explain your actions, and be punished. Thankfully, the system is fair, so long as you aren't cheating, you'll be fine.

Punishments Are Reasonable – Underage drinking violations and similar offense es can incur a fine but you practically have to try to get caught. They accept that students are going to drink no matter what and they don't go out looking for violations. They are more strict when in comes to honor code violations

Don't Ask Don't Tell – The school is pretty good and lenient when it comes to drugs and alchohol. They only intervene if Campus Safety recieves complaints, but if you do get caught fines can range from dumping your drink to steep fines. It depends on your luck.
