Overall ExperienceWhat's This?

La Roche is a small campus, but it has plenty of resources. With a library full of books and a spacious student union area, there’s something for everyone. The teachers and students here have a very personal connection, and everybody knows your name. To most students, this is what their ideal college is all about. However, La Roche is very expensive and doesn’t offer many of the things that larger schools have—Greek life, an on-campus health clinic, 24-hour dining services, and campus bars and restaurants to name a few—which turns a lot of people away from this beautiful campus.

It would be hard for someone at La Roche to go their entire career without meeting someone from the other side of the world. La Roche’s international students set it apart from other schools. The people make this college. From the students, traditional and non-traditional, to the college activities directors who will be at every function dancing and partying with students, everyone is friendly. The president of the college can even be found eating in the dining hall with students a couple times a week.

Location, location, location. La Roche isn’t too far from anything. McKnight Road has any store you could ever dream of, and the mall, airport, and movies are within driving distance. The hospital is within walking distance. The hilly campus is very green in the spring and summer and is always full of colorful flowers.

People who attend La Roche for the duration of their college years seem to be extremely happy with the end result. A high job placement rate, personal attention, and close bonds with classmates make four years here incredibly satisfying.

I hate this place. I don’t like the administration or the way everything seems to be a big secret.
