Greek Life at Lafayette College

Going Greek Is Just Another Thing to Do

Greek life is very prevalent on campus but not overwhelmingly so. You aren't allowed to rush until sophomore year which allows you to establish yourself on campus before you go greek. Fraternities are a big part of the party scene but usually allow everyone to go. Freshman boys aren't allowed into the frat parties until Oct. 1st but usually if they show up with a good girl to boy ratio, they're fine. A lot of people in sororities and fraternities are involved with different clubs and activities so joining different organizations allows freshmen to meet the brothers and sisters without feeling pressured to go greek. Basically, Lafayette students are really into the greek system but it doesn't define your time here, its just another thing to do.

Hard but Rewarding

Classes are very hard and the tests will definitely challenge you, but as long as you can put the work and go to office hours you will do great in any class.

Computers at Lafayette College

There are tons of computers and printing stations available at Lafayette- and not just at Skillman. The lesser known ones are generally better to use, because students tend to crowd the ones at Skillman.
