My school has a servant scholars program. It's for people who promote and organize service events. They live in beautiful apartments and take 19 hours worth of classes because they have to fit in the extra servant scholars stuff. They are valued members of our school.

The freshman female dorms are amazing. Every other dorm is average. The only way to live in amazing dorms is if you participate in Greek Life, Servant Scholars, or Sustainability. The tuition is a lot cheaper if you live in any of those houses. Everywhere outside of freshman dorms is ridiculously overpriced.

The weather can be very nice in the mornings. Around the afternoons it gets too hot. It rains heavily as well.

There are many places to eat at, but there aren't any discounts for students. They are pretty expensive too. It's better to just eat on campus because dining out costs so much.
College Sophomore 2013-08-27T19:01:08Z
It is very hard to park because all the places close to the dorms are small. You can only get a good space if people go home for the weekend. During breaks it's imperative to come back on campus as early as possible so that you can get a space close to your dorm. Freshman females cannot park close to their dorm at all because it is on the highest peak of the hill.

The football team at LaGrange College is the worst out of all athletics. The players are arrogant and barely win any games. Every other team has spirit and aren't arrogant. The players are friends with a lot of non-athletes and most of them attend Fellowship of Christian Athletes meetings.

The school is small so they don't have a great representation of different countries. However, they do have quite a few international students compared to the student population.

Greek life is involved with the campus activities but there aren't very many sororities and frats.

Lagrange's town is just like the Marietta square and its a nice place, but not all that much to do.
College Sophomore 2013-06-11T18:05:40Z
This parking at Lagrange College sucks. In order to get a good and safe parking spot in front of your dorm hall, you would have to be parked at least by 8:30-9:30. After this, one will rarely find a parking spot in front of the dorms and will have to park across the bridge. This, to me, isn't safe.Walking across the bridge at night for me, is scary since I am alone and a female.

It wasn't too bad getting help with my financal aid, but the only tough part is getting so many forms in. The only tip I would give is make sure everything is turned in on time in order to ensure you receive your maximum amount.

Even though I know there are those who use alcohol and drugs at school, I am not affected by it personally.
College Sophomore 2013-06-11T17:58:41Z
The nightlife at Lagrange College is a little below average. The reason being is because most of the parties are held at the fraternity houses and they are required to shut down parties at 12:00 AM. This is usually the time when most people are starting to have fun. Even though I don't party, I think 12:00 is a little ridiculous. We're practically adults now.

The restaurants are awesome so far. They have a variety of restaurants people can choose from. My favorite is the soul food buffet because I love soul food. Yams, collard greens, fried chicken and sweet tea sound really good right about now.

LaGrange is a small town with a few shopping centers and restaurants surrounding. There are churches located everywhere. You can throw a rock and hit a church nearby. Every is friendly and knows each other. It is a very diverse town, from country folks to Yankees.
College Junior 2013-06-06T06:32:19Z
Greek life is there for community service and recruiting more members. They party but it is done off campus. They do not have greek houses on campus. It is nice to go to the frat and sorority parties but they are similar to all the parties.

It has a great pedestrian crosswalk that is overhead of the main travelers road.

Guys & Girls:
The boys and girls do not care about how their outer appearance. Whether they are wearing jeans and a t-shirt, they are not appropriate for college. College is a place that prepares you for the real world along with professionalism of your occupation. The students/or residents do not take pride in what is bestowed upon them. The campus itself is beautiful, strong, and very distinguished on the outside but the inside could use some strong housekeeping. So therefore, the students reflect from the campus.

Lagrange College is a small campus with a friendly environment. Campus life is home-"y" and the different activites that are provided are great to get involved in.

The process did take a few weeks to get everything processed, but the counselers in the office were extremely helpful. I was able to get a significant amount of financial aid to offset the cost of a private school.
College Junior 2013-05-03T22:56:54Z
There are not many choices for off-campus dining. The selections are mostly fast food and don't have many healthy options.
College Junior 2013-04-04T17:41:02Z
The parking behind the dorms fills up quickly, but there is plenty of parking across the bridge.
College Sophomore 2013-02-10T21:55:56Z
As long as you don't leave campus and come back around supper time you should be ok. Everyone tries to come back at this time. Permit costs is minimal. Don't need a car unless you leave campus.

While some meals are average, some of the meals' variety has shrunk since previous years.

Depending on a person's preference it is a small town with a close community. The people within the town show great deal of southern hospitality and welcome new comers with open arms. The town is known for its historic buildings that date back to when it first began. Also the restaurants are strictly down home southern cooking. Activities are limited but you should not have to go far to have a good time.
