the girls in my class are very "team" oriented, and are always there to help each other out

I would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in RDH.

This fall semester works with my school schedule, next semster I will not be able to work as much. This will make it hard financially.

The knowledge being provided will assist me and help me in achieving a job after graduation.

we are in typically set in the clinic and the classrooms across from it for the DH program. it is nice, clean and convenient.

I am not enrolled in online courses at this time. I do however view grades, assignments, and enroll for semester courses.

All of my online classes at this school were incredibly frustrating. I wasn't given enough information, teachers didn't get back for weeks, and when they did they were rarely helpful.

The alumni-network isn't very good. Most of the good students transfer to universities once completing their associates and they make a net-work there. Job prospects are very good, especially if coming out of a special program.

The science classes are very demanding. They are designed to be weed-out courses for the nursing, dental, massage, physical therapy, etc. programs. The science education I received was excellent. I put a lot of work into my classes, and I've retained a lot of information. The faculty are very wiling to work students if the students will in turn put in a lot of hard work.
College Senior 2013-11-17T05:52:23Z
The special programs are some of the best in the state. The nursing and dental programs are extremely competitive to get into.

The REC is fantastic. All new equipment, beautiful hardwood floors in the studio. The equipment is kept clean by both students and workers. There are plenty of machines. This is one of my favorite places to be on campus; it's attractive, well-lit, and the atmosphere is good.

This is a community college. There are activities, but most students are there for the education, not the student body experience.
College Senior 2013-11-17T05:38:57Z
I've been very pleased with the overall education. I went on to get my bachelors, and am returning to this community college to get a certificate for a specific job. The science classes at this college were better than the University I later attended.

Some faculty are wonderful. The science faculty are especially good. The older buildings are fine, and the newer ones are very nice. Very easy to transfer credits.

I am able to fit classes to my schedule.

They have good facilities. They have a gym and work out area with weights and treadmills. There is a decent library and they have plenty of clubs and activities.

Lake Land has great academic flexibility. They have night and day class and its real easy to work around your personal schedule.

My school has a good amount of diversity. It ranges from people out of high school to older people with full time jobs and families. There are many different ethnicities and religious groups.

So far they all seem pretty career oriented. A lot of them are from small middle class families in the country which is good because we can all relate to the same thing.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I am having trouble receiving financial aid. The office is not helping me any and I am getting a big run around on how to do my FASFA. I am going to miss my deadline for this semester so I will have to pay $2,000 out of my pocket. I definitely would recommend a back up plan incase they do the same to you.

I was scared to take online classes, and I'm still scared after a month of being an online student. I think I would do better in a classroom with the instructor and the other peers communicating as one.
College Senior 2013-09-14T03:28:42Z
Lake Land's academic experience has overall been a pleasant one filled with good and bad times and many new friends made. For the most part my instructors ah e been very approachable and willing to help students in any way that they can but there have been two instructors in particular that that have greatly impacted my grade in a negative way and caused several problems. I have enjoyed all I my classes at Lake Land for the most part and would recommending of them and my instructors to anyone planning on attending Lake Land.
College Senior 2013-09-14T03:24:28Z
The one good thing that I was originally scared of at Lake Lad was if all of my credits would transfer to the 4-year college I would choose to attend. The good news is that all of my credits will transfer and count towards my degree. As far as class flexibility there has not really been any in terms of my major. The classes are pretty well set and the availability of those classes combined with my work schedule do not allow for much wiggle room. A few of the hassles and frustrations I have had to deal with have mostly been frustrations with instructors and not being able to properly communicate or get properly rewarded for my efforts in the class. Another frustration is my tuition for this semester and next. I previously received a tuition fee waiver which helped enormously but now I am no longer receiving it due to a GPA that is .001 points too low. This, understandably is a very frustrating situation for me and I now have to come up with all of my tuition in a little less than a months time.

Lake Land College is a very convenient college for me, because of the proximity and cost. My experience so far at Lake Land has overall been decent, but there is definitely room for improvement. A couple of the instructors I have had at Lake Land have been difficult to communicate with and hard to learn from, but for the most part my instructors are enjoyable and approachable. There are, however a limited number of instructors that teach the required classes for my major, making some classes more difficult than others. The facilities are nice and well equipped with up-to-date technology, but the server and wifi do not work properly much of the time, creating more issues than necessary. Overall I would give Lake Land a B+ rating
College Senior 2013-09-10T19:07:00Z
The career services at Lake Land were very helpful especially with the starting my resume. I never asked for their help after graduating due to the fact that I had a job quickly. But I am postive they would of done everything they could of to help.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
