A gym that is very reasonable. The library is large enough to get books needed for related topics for classes at the college.

LTCC is not really a four year college. The school only goes up to A.A then your done.

The campus life goes by pretty quick, allowing students to get to know one another. One area the students have called "The Commons" hangout and relax. Boards posted around the school for upcoming events at the school. LTCC does plays, and musicals towards the end of each quarter. LTCC also host famous writers for readings. During the winter, it snows up to feets of insanity for people to go snowboarding and skiing.

The campus is small, a community college, and have to four computer labs. Charge for print if you go over ten pages of paper. WIFI is alittle if'y for it doesn't always work, gets slow, or freezes

I have not used this service, but I do have a friend who has received employment with the Career Service. He enjoys his job and it helps pay some of his class fees. They have been very helpful.

This school is flexible with the class schedule that they offer. The College is experiencing a great deal of cuts so it is not as easy as it used to be. Some students may have to wait a quarter to get the classed they need to take.
Over all good for transferring students.

I took an online Spanish class this summer. I was much easier than I thought it would be. The work load was more than I anticipated but I got used to it once the class progressed. It was nice to take an online class because I worked full time hours this summer.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The education I've received at LTCC is great because I am able to transfer to Sierra Nevada College. They offer one of the best programs for creative writing. I am really looking forward to attending his school but need financial help. LTCC has been a great way to get my general education taken while still living at home and working part time.

They are pretty easy which isn't necessarily a great thing, but it is better then other online programs that I have tried before.

This is a great school where the professors have small classes and truly do care about you and your life.

It is a Community College but does have some trade programs such as firefighting, however I am studying Art History and planning on transfering to another school, so career opportunities are not what I am looking for yet

LTCC is close to the beach, in the forest, and has a smaller campus. The science departments have teachers that have worked in the field and many have earned Ph.D in the subjects they teach/specialize in. There are many clubs and opportunities to be involved in the community.

The professors are great and easily reachable if they are full time. Some of the part time professors can be difficult to reach. The registration process is smooth (online or in person). I wish there was greater course availability and variety of times. I started a new job this year and it has been really hard to find classes that coordinate with my work schedule.

I decided to go to a community college because it is more practical monetarily while I determine a career path. Lake Tahoe Community College provides a unique atmosphere for students to learn and grow. As a smaller school, it provides a greater sense of community.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Our Financial Aid office is helpful--they post local scholarships and accept appointments for consultations. On the other hand, I had a poor experience with them. During the winter quarter, I dropped a class and tried to pay my financial aid back. Instead of accepting the check, they said it was more convenient to put me on academic probation. The next quarter, I didn't do well in a class and my financial aid has been terminated.

I haven't graduated yet. I need to research our post-grad services more.

I love the gym as well as the library at my school

I wish there were more computers sometimes. Also it seems like something is always something going wrong with the computers.

Several computer labs, reading areas, a huge library, and a cafe/cafeteria make a student's life much better. Students don't live here, but there are plenty of place to hangout and the view is amazing no matter where you are. Most places can be walked to indoors or out, so that you can enjoy the weather. There is a community play field across the parking lot and a park across the street. Safeway and the beach are a five minute drive from campus. There is a tutoring and learning center if you ever need help and the faculty are all well trained.

Great online courses. Challenging, but rewarding. Taking an online course at LTCC is like being in a really classroom. They recently started doing webinars for the statistics course, and I really, really enjoy those. I think they should do more online classes with the webinars though.

In the past few years, class times and availability have gone down a lot. There are less sections for each class, and some are at really weird times. With this, classes are a lot harder to get into. You have to register as soon as you can or the classes fill up. There has also been quite and increase in student's attending, which makes it really hard. The school is still doing great considering the budget cuts, and they really try to work with you as much as they can.

Career Center – I haven't used this center as much as I should, but I do know there is usually a list of jobs posted for the area. I will have to look more in depth for this program before graduation.

This school definitely deserves an "A" for it's resource availability. I enjoy the use of all the amazing tutors, especially the "Math lab" which helps tremendously! This school has helped me achieve my goals with the assessment test for my learning disability. With the help of the "DRC", Disability Resource Center, I have been able to pass my classes and I will get a college degree as well! :)

My school consists of students mostly with part-time jobs. There is a wide age-range throughout most classes. Some students are serious, but definitely not all. I am here for my education and not to play around or to make friends.

Great Student/Professor Involement – What I most enjoy about LTCC is the ability to ask questions, and talk with the professors one on one. Everyone is understanding and the professors genuinely care for the students and their education.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
