I have no clue due to the fact that I plan on leaving LIT in the fall of 2014.

My experience at LIT has been horrible. I was a transfer from Arizona and no one would help me with anything and the people at the cashier and finical aid are very unprofessional. The instructors are okay some really have a passion and some don't unfortunately. Also it makes no sense in why Lamar is right across the street and all the credits do not transfer over. Now I have to stay at LIT a whole semester to get my credits to transfer. They make it so difficult. The school is really should re vamp there system.

The reason I gave them a "C" on the student body at LIT is because they have a lot of younger African Americans that seem to not be waiting anything more in life. It's really sad that they all huddle in groups and talk rudely and make comments about people seem to be very immature there. It basically is like being in high school all over again.

The computer network has always worked for me. It's always up to speed and I never had problems printing.

There are people of many ethnicities at LIT. I have encountered many white people, African-American people, Indian people, and quite a few Asian people.

Between LIT and Lamar, there are bookstores, a recreational center, student centers, cafeterias, etc.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The value of my education is definitely worth what has been paid for it, especially since I have the potential to make a lot of money with the degree I am working on getting.

The school has a computer lab with tutors on staff to help anybody in need of it. The computers are well-updated and they print/payment system is efficient.

LIT has more than enough resources for students to use, combined with the resources available to students across the street at Lamar University. Students have access to cafeterias, a gymn, a bookstore, a library, etc.

The school is fairly diverse. People come from all over the country.
College Senior 2013-03-15T14:56:25Z
It depends on the teacher. Some teachers make online classes very easy and some make them a little more complicated.
College Junior 2013-01-28T21:46:38Z
The only facilites I've made use of are the computer labs and library. Both are equally outdated, and the computers themselves are so locked down, it's hard to get any work done.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Making payments could be a bit easier. I have yet to become involved with the financial aid process.

I have not taken any online courses as part of my degree plan.

Im a computer networking major and i've learned so much since i been here. The material is very understandable and easy to grasp. My only upset is that i wish they had more hands on activities.

teacher was awesome and the workload was so easy to manage

Although I have not taken advantage of most of them, there are a wide variety of on-site resources available for students. A gym and track, rather large library and resource center, computer labs, and much more.
College Senior 2012-12-12T15:04:56Z
The use of online resources makes just about everything really easy to do at this school. I can access my assignments, lectures, grades, and just about anything else from one website.

I have not had any exclusively "online" courses at this school.

I did not care for my online class, but I know a lot of students who did. I think it's more of a personal preference than anything. I don't do well with setting aside time at home for online classes. I also like being able to ask a question and have someone help me right then, instead of asking and having to wait on an answer.

The flexibility of classes is great, in regards to pre-requisites especially. When I was able to get registered early enough, I could just about customize my schedule. Once I was accepted into the radiology program, however, the schedule is set.

There is anything you need on campus. I haven't personally been to the athletic center, but I've heard from class mates that go regularly that it's really nice, clean, and safe. The library is huge with workers who are knowledgeable and willing to help. The health center is convenient and the nurses are super nice, and there's not much of a wait.

There Are Several Locations Around Campus With Computer Rooms Available to Students – Each room has a technical support student available for
assistance if needed. I've never had an issue with the network.

I feel the school is very diverse. While it is obvious there are those who are just starting out, and probably won't finish; there are also those who have made school there life and are doing very well.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I am learning a lot, but there is a lot to learn. The instructors are very competent in their teaching, and have been more than willing to help with tutoring in areas where I may be weak. I have been able to receive aid for most of my schooling and that has made it less stressful while trying to concentrate on my studying. The only complaint I have with the financial aid process, is not realizing there is more information needed and thinking the money is on its way. If you make it a point to check the progress of your application each week you should be fine. Also, don't assume the process is the same from year to year, because things change and you may not get a notification of the change. Other than that it has been a good experience!
Sorry, there are no reviews.
