Las Positas College prides itself in providing state-of-the-art facilities and resources to its students. The campus itself is nestled in Livermore's rolling hills and is visually pleasing to look at. The campus has a large athletic center, gym, soccer field, and aquatic center used for college and community activities. The new student center, projected for 2013, is to house all staff for students to access in one location. The College features an exciting automotive and welding department with a newly renovated science center on the way. The Integrated Learning Center (ILC) houses math and English professors, ready to help students with questions and assignments.
The student library features a well-trained staff to help you research your next project or find a source using the proper university methods. Students often flock to the library to study in a group in the many soundproof rooms or study alone in the "super quiet" study area. Students have never found computer accessibility to be a problem at Las Positas, with a dedicated computer lab and many computers in virtually every building on campus. Computer software is updated to the latest version of Windows or Mac OS, and many computers are outfitted with assistive technology or other technology suited for the College's computer-related courses. The computer lab staff is friendly and ready to assist anyone with tech questions. If students need to use a laptop on campus, the library has many available for rent. The Wi-Fi at Las Positas is fast and available everywhere on campus. If technology-related problems arise, Las Positas has its own (LaPTechS) tech support team located in the computer lab. Campus resources are one thing students seldom worry about.
