Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

There aren’t many complaints about Lehigh’s facilities, save for the gym. The gym is one of the most crowded facilities on campus, and the students feel it’s in serious need of an upgrade. Most of the cardiovascular machines are old, and the stationary machines are outdated, not to mention there aren’t nearly enough stations. The gym is an almost unbearable place to be during peak times, which is usually right after class ends at 4 p.m., but those in search of exercise should be able to find solace in the pool or basketball or volleyball courts.

Aside from the gym, the Ulrich Student Center is pleasant inside, although it could benefit from more shops or diversions. It’s also something of a social hub because it’s almost impossible not to bump into someone when you go to get your mail. Some complain about the layout of the campus, what with it being on a giant hill and all, but many would argue that the peaks and valleys are what give the school its character.

The Facilities Throughout the Campus Are Amazing!

All the facilities at Lehigh are extremely accommodating and comfortable. They are spacious and provide plenty of room for social events, study groups etc. One my favorite places on campus would definitely be Linderman Library. The architecture of the building is gorgeous and it has a lot of cool nooks students use to get away and find a quiet place to work.

Gym

We need more machines, the gym is always pretty crowded. It also could be much larger and nicer for the price we pay for tuition. It is fun to look at the boys down below lifting weights since you do cardio up on the balcony.

Gym

Taylor gym is the only gym on campus. However, it is very well equipped with anything anyone could want and though it does get crowded at about 4-5, the rest of the day there are multiple machines of any type open at any time.

Favorite Things To Do

Many students go to the gym between classes, take a jog around Lehigh’s steep and hilly campus, or relax on the lawn of the University Center.

The Zoellner Arts Center is host to entertainment of all kinds—plays, musical acts, ballet, and art exhibits. Although these activities tend to attract older residents of Bethlehem, students are slowly attending more events. There’s no real area where students come together and congregate—Lehigh students have a tendency to bond very tightly with the people they live with, so a lot of time is spent in the dorms. Campus Square has outdoor seating, and students are beginning to take to it.
