The dsiversity at Lemonye Owen College is excellent. Even with the diversity we all get along very well. The diversities make it easier to communicate with the outside world when dealing with the public. I really appreciate the diversity amongst our teachers, faculties, and students.

The city that my school is located in is a very diverse city. It displayes all origins and ethnicities. Everyone is freindly and doesn't mind giving a helping hand.

I'm in the excelerated program at Lemonye Owen College and I enjoy the nightlife at my school. Everyone embraces each other. The faculty and staff are very friendly. They don't mind helping each other and they try to maintain a positive atmosphere for each individual.

There are apartments across the street from the school. The catch is that even though the apartments are great and convenient, they have a waiting list that's very long. They have other apartments in the area, but If you are looking for any type of quality then be prepared to pay.

The freshman dorms at LeMoyne-Owen are just ok. They aren't too spectacular and they aren't too poor. They're convenient and accommodating, but that's about it. The new dorms will be better though. With a whole new design and building, giving the college more of a college look.

LeMoyne-Owen has about 3 local groceries that are walking distance. They have the best food and are very convenient. Also, there is a Church's Chicken in the area and a Golden China (a Chinese Restaurant) with the best Chinese food. If you want to cook for yourself it's a Walgreens, Family Dollar, and a Save-A-Lot for your convenience that has what you need to make a nice meal.

Memphis is a nice city to visit or stay and knowing the right people will get anyone far. Memphis has a host of amazing schools for those that ranges from average to amazing in academics. Memphis also has a host of attractions including Beale Street, Civil Rights Museum, and Graceland, just to name a few. The city is great if you're ready to enjoy life.

There's some activities to do while on campus sometimes but it's a little difficult trying to get the students involved but it's good to me because I actually get involved

The diverse is great because even though it's an HBCU there's still diversity within the African-American students. We have students that are black that came from other countries such as the Bahamas, Africa, etc. Now we have Caucasian or white students that's attending our school now and it's good to see some diversity because that's what I'm used to back at home.

There's really not that much parking space to where people have to park on the side of the road and people ended up getting parking tickets that they didn't expect to receive. But some of the other students can't see it because they live on campus.

PLENTY OF PARKING, AND ITS FREE, BUT I DONT DRIVE.

The parking lot is a mess! Parking your car can be a pain with small tight parking spots.

This area is a good area except most people look at it as a bad area

I am happy with the biology program at The Lemoyne Owen College. It is very challenging, on the other hand it can be done. I would do it all over again just so I can fly right through the program without any problems. My career goal is to become a Pediatric Nurse.

LeMoyne-Owen is a HBC school. We have mostly African Americans that attend the college. I have seen many different religions like Muslims, Christians, Catholic, and more. It is very easy to get along with my peers on campus. The acceptance rates are scorching high, it is almost impossible to not get accepted into LOC.

My major is Criminal Justice. I love the professors and the programs they have setup in that field. I have not had an internship yet but i have spoken with people who have already done their internship and they say that they get good interships.

One unique thing about my school that set apart from other schools is the way that my president interacts with his students. You can always go too his office and his door is always open. The second unique thing that i think that set apart my school from other schools is how the counselor Mr. WINSTON HAS AN OPEN DOOR POLICY THAT YOU CAN COME AND SEE HIM ABOUT ANYTHING.

I chose to go to LeMoyne Owen College because I love its Mission. Professors are always there to help you. Some even goes out their way to assist you. I love going to classes because everything is broken down piece by piece.

Le Moyne Owen College is filled with professors who cares about their students. I love President Watson. He is very active with his students. There is an on campus library filled with study rooms, computers and everything else you need for a research paper. The campus is very small so everyone knows everyone and I actually like that.
College Sophomore 2012-12-20T17:54:56Z
It is best if you dine off campus. There isn't much a variety of food on campus. You also have to stay on campus to eat free lunch. Otherwise, you have to pay. However, on Mondays and Fridays, they sell fried catfish, which is very delicious and popular on campus.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
