College Prowler Take
The facilities on campus are functional and well kept. The newer buildings are well designed and environmentally friendly, while the older ones are a bit dilapidated. The student center is criticized for its non-central location, but it serves its purpose. Templeton Student Center is home to the two dining halls, the mailroom, a computer lab, the Student Health Center, and the student club offices. Thayer Student Lounge was introduced on the lower level. Disappointingly, this small room featuring old couches, a wall-mounted TV, and a foosball table, has not been used for much other than the occasional nap. Pamplin Sports Center is a fine facility for the size of this campus, and the track is great, but usually empty. Most academic buildings have brick exteriors and large classrooms, some featuring floor-to-ceiling windows to allow natural light in. Watzek Library, with ample study areas and a reading room with leather couches and a fireplace, is large for a small school. Estate Gardens features a reflecting pool, waterfalls, a view of Mount Hood, an outdoor swimming pool, a gatehouse with a grape arbor (with delicious grapes you can eat), tennis courts, a greenhouse, and a large rose garden.

They are decent. Some of the buildings are old, but none have serious problems or are falling apart. The academic buildings are technologically well set and pretty nice. Dorms could use some work, but they update something every year.

Athletic facilities are nice and underused. The fitness center is awesome. The library is large and convenient, but it could use more group study rooms. Templeton (the main student center) is out-of-date. The cafés spread around campus are nice.

The student center on campus is...
The student center on campus is Templeton. That's where the cafeteria (the Bon) the Trail Room, and other offices are, but kids don't hang there. They chill at the Co-op by the Forest dorm complex and looking out onto Pac Man lawn. The buildings and classrooms are nice, modern, and energy efficient, and they are close to one another. Kids always hang out in front of Howard Hall on the nice patio and catch rays or smoke or just read for class. The best building on campus that everyone uses is the library. There are also a lot of secret quiet places to go.

The library is A+, especially...
The library is A+, especially considering how small of a school this is. It's open from Sunday-Thursday 24 hours a day so you can go there pretty much whenever you need to escape your room and buckle down. Seriously, I don't know what I'd do without this option. The gym is fairly nice, but it could be improved by offering longer hours---it closes at 10. We're not a very athletically minded school, so it's understandable that they haven't gotten that far yet. The student center is pretty nice, though I wish things were cheaper on campus! Our school is big on fair representation and buying organic foods, and I respect that, but it'd be nice if they had options for the students who are hurting cash-wise---like me.

We've got an indoor and outdoor pool, tennis dome, sauna, and fitness center, which has weights and cardio exercise machines. Our student center is alright, but apparently they're renovating it, so it might get even better. Our library is pretty nice, too. I just don't like going to the library so I haven't been there in a while.

Favorite Things To Do
The campus provides lots of opportunities and events for students to participate in, from dances to movie showings to visiting scholars to karaoke singing to workshops to crafts. There are plenty of interesting hang outs on campus, and lots of places to hang out with friends and play informal sports games or just appreciate your place in the universe.
There are concerts that occasionally headline big-name bands. The Plateau often holds student readings and open-mic nights, and there’s usually something going on somewhere on campus. Students love to get dressed up, so events like Casino Night and the Drag Auction are well-attended. Most weekend nights, movies are shown on a big screen in Templeton Student Center. Small get-togethers in dorm rooms are common, and even on weeknights the smell of marijuana wafts from windows all over campus. There is a large gamer contingent as well, and you can spot and jeer at live-action role-playing gamers wielding swords on lower campus.
