Approximate Parking Permit CostParking Permits
It’s easy to get a permit, as long as you’re willing to pay a shipload of money. Semester permits can be purchased at the Cashier’s Office, and daily parking passes can be purchased from the Campus Safety office or the Cashier’s Office. Daily parking passes cost $3.
College Prowler Take
To be truthful, parking on campus is expensive and very hard to find. While students don’t need cars to get around or to have fun, thanks to the convenient Pioneer Express service and Portland’s TriMet system, having a car will guarantee you a lot of freeloading friends. There is no parking available in the neighborhoods around LC. So, even if you decide to pay the hefty parking permit fee, you’re still limited to the few parking lots on and around campus. Even the faculty at LC has been known to complain about the lack of adequate parking space. It seems that the majority of students would like the amenity of having a car on campus, but simply choose not to because of the horrific parking situation brought on by the lack of available spaces and the vigor of the parking lot Nazis. Wouldn’t it be easier to just simply go to downtown Portland and buy a nice pair of walking shoes or hiking boots and rely on those for transportation? LC is, after all, a small campus. The decision is up to you.

Parking on campus is usually...
Parking on campus is usually possible. Parking passes are not too expensive, but you can get away with parking for a day or two without one. Freshmen can only bring a car if they can prove that they need it for commitment to a special job or organization off campus. Having a car at Lewis & Clark is almost unnecessary because freshman and sophomores have everything they need on campus. The shuttle service downtown is great and, combined with Trimet, is all students need to get around. They're canceling the shuttle that goes to Southeast Portland, which is a drag, but it is relatively easy to get to the east side from downtown.

Parking on campus sucks. It is really expensive ($160/semester) and there isn't that much of it. You should try and avoid moving your car during the day, or you might lost your spot. Also, freshman are not allowed to have cars, which is kind of a downer.

Freshmen are not allowed to bring cars. Parking is easy to find, but you do have to pay for a semester-long parking pass or buy a day pass if you only drive to school occasionally.

Parking on campus is usually pretty easy to find. Freshmen are not allowed to have cars, but transportation is pretty easy to find. Lewis and Clark has a shuttle for students to get downtown and to the market. Once you are downtown, public transportation is very simple.

Freshmen (ahem, freshpeople) can't bring cars, so I'm not quite sure, but I think the parking is pretty limited. I haven't seen any big parking lots anywhere, unless they're hiding them.
