There is wireless access on campus but the network is slow.

I wouldn't say there are a lot of job opportunities.

If I could do it all over again, I would've gone to a four year university first, instead of starting out at a community college.

My school has a very good nursing program; however, I am not in the nursing program.

I've had a really hard time trying to find a parking spot everyday. I did dual credit in high school through the community college that I now attend so I already had credits.

I am a nursing student and I love the school. The workload is tough but fair. As long as you are committed to the work you will do great.

The advisors give you a good rundown on what you need and the application process but they're not very hands on in helping you actually searching for job prospects.

Very good. I enjoy this school very much. Both my classmates and teachers are very focused and willing to work with you.
College Sophomore 2013-06-07T22:08:24Z
Very diverse community, mostly working class folks that are easy to talk to and have as classmates.
College Junior 2013-04-27T21:39:46Z
This school is mostly made up of people with families and they are going back to school to switch fields or get more training. There are some fresh out of high school students getting an associates. Because of this there isn't a whole lot of social interaction. Everyone gets along really well in the class room but don't expect to become buddies with someone and hang out after class. Most students are just going to class and then heading home because they have other jobs or families to take care of.

I mean its community college so you dont really know anyone in the classes so if your a shy person you would hate doing group work, which a lot of the professers here do. But they work well with you and get you into the classes you need to be in to get you into your field of work. If your lucky you can even get classes on only two days of the week so you wont use up as much gas compared to a three day or four day week.

many of the professors dont seem qualified or at least dont teach like it. many of the teachers talk down to you and they teach like its middle school not like college I find it disappointing and slightly demeaning. there are a few teachers that are very good and seem to love their job though so it isnt all bad. the registration process is so easy and they really work with you.

i am a first time student so i didnt have to worry about transfer credits. i have gotten almost every class i wanted at every tome the only down fall is that some classes are only at night or only at the main campus which is a long drive for me
College Sophomore 2013-04-10T19:39:13Z
i am at the nelson campus so we hardly have any real resources. we have a computer lab but if we want to physically go to the library we have to drive there. there are a good amount of online resources though which is quite nice although half the time the computers are on the fritz anyway

Sometimes the Professors should be more involved int he students than just lecturing the whoel time and assuming they understand. The only thing that is a hassel with LC is when your signing up for classes.

I do not feel that there is much help here for students after graduating to find a career in their profession.

I am an athlete. I came here specifically to play softball and then I decided what I wanted to do.

Some of the science classes are scheduled a little oddly making them a hassle to attend others the same day.

Have not encountered foreign students outside of ESL classes provided at the college but plenty from various financial/ethnic backgrounds. Many have families, others are career oriented. Few are just taking a course to take a course. Quiet a political and religious variety too.
College Sophomore 2013-01-24T01:40:53Z
Online courses are convenient, but the workload seems to be more than in the classroom. Quizes and tests are timed and sometime hard to do, due to technology issues (slow) which makes you run out of time sometimes.
College Sophomore 2013-01-24T01:34:33Z
There are many computer labs on just about every floor. You can use the printers, too. Wireless access is limited to main areas.
College Sophomore 2013-01-24T01:32:07Z
there are alot of resources throughout the campus.

The overall diversity and student atmosphere is very positive. The school has a very good academic and sports related repuation. Many students from different backgrounds are able to come together with a common goal. This enables students to interact with one another and also socialize outside of one's "norm".
Sorry, there are no reviews.
