Parking on campus between 9am -4pm is a nightmare. Often times you have to park on another side of campus and ride the campus bus to class.

While there is transportation that goes directly to certain housing areas I was so blessed. During my last year as a residential student I lived at Lighthouse Condominiums which are across from CornerStone. Although it was a 15 minute walk to the bus stop that was definitely inconvenient during the winter or days when the climate was not good. They need to expand the bus line especially those students living near the Greenview Drive and upper Timberlake Rd. area.

Of course dining at Jazzman's, Chick-fil-A, and Doc's Diner is superb. However, food at The Rot was a little more generic but being that it is all call eat gives it a "+."

Liberty University is a big school, so there is available housing all over campus. There are some available dorms right beside the classrooms, there are some further away, during dorm construction students are put into hotel rooms owned by Liberty. Also there are apartments. Where a student is placed depends on how much they are willing to pay for that room. In every dorm there are a mix of people, hardly any exclusive cliches, and everyone is very friendly.

At Liberty University, there is no tolerance for substance abuse. They have a no alcohol, no drugs policy. Of course, if your are searching for it you will find some, but not many. Peer pressure is of no issue because everyone is in support of each other and encourages one another to steer away from anything against the Liberty Way.

Weather is not really an issue. I do not live on campus but I have friends that do. There is plenty of transportation for students to get to class. And when there is too much snow or extremely bad weather, classes are cancelled.

Liberty has a lot of options for the price it costs to get in. However, financial aid is very limited and prevalent. I have had to search for scholarships elsewhere besides the school. Although, if you call Liberty or go and talk to admissions they are more than willing to help you find outside scholarships and will always pray with you and check and see how your search is going. My advise is don't give up the search for outside scholarships.

They have transportation logistics for students and faculty.

I'm in the School of Aeronautics, and I love it. The professors are extremely helpful, and genuinely care about each student. It is not uncommon to run into the Dean or Assistant Deand and end up chatting about one's life. There are several clubs for the students such as Afterburners for the military aviators and Contrails for those pursuing a career in the airlines or as a corporate pilot. Many different speakers come in to talk at the meetings, such as recruiters from the airlines and FedEx, or one of the Blue Angels. Classes are never boring, and the sense of community among the students is strong. Also, on the flight line, the majority of flight instructors are very good, and everyone is quite friendly. The one problem is the bus system from main campus to the airport is not very efficient.

There are many restaurants, both sit-down and fast food, within a 5-min drive from the school. If one is willing to drive the 15 minutes to downtown Lynchburg, Market on Main has the most amazing patty melts ever, and has the vibe of a 50's diner and country store combined, during lunch time at least.

There's very little, and you'll have to fight for it if you want to park close to your classes.
College Junior 2013-08-07T02:25:06Z
There's lots to do at Liberty. Lynchburg....not so much. But Liberty, yes.
College Junior 2013-08-07T02:23:30Z
There are so many different students at Liberty. Lots of different technicalities, and Missions week is a parade of all the students from around the world at convocation. It's amazing.

There virtually no use of narcotics/ alcohol on the campus. Compared to many other universities nation wide this school's values are on Christ.

I was looking for a Psychology program that was 100% online. I had looked elsewhere and liked other programs; however, the minute I spoke with online admissions specialist they were willing to pre accept me with just two classes to complete in my AS degree at a local college here in Florida.

I liked that it is the largest non profit Christian University with old/real world values. I am Christian and I have been afford this opportunity to attend. I was in a 4 year college prior to applying to Liberty, and I feel that something greater than me has lead me to the doors of Liberty University.

I am online student I di not have access to the computers as I live Florida.
College Junior 2013-08-06T22:11:59Z
I have applied to other colleges that are 100% online; however, the staff at Liberty were so polite and helpful for my preadmission process. Also, their demeanor had been Christ centered and I felt comfortable to speak with staff at any given time during the day they had the answer, and if the staff member I was speaking to did not they would get me the correct answer.

I love the fact that Liberty University has very high standards for its students that attend residential classes. Parent don't ever have to worry about casual hook-ups, drugs, alcohol or even smoking around their children as none of it is permitted here at this school. No person is perfect and if someone wants something bad enough they are bound to find it, but Liberty does everything in its power to keep the campus smoke, drug, alcohol and casual sex free.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
