Even though Liberty is a Christian university, drugs and alcohol are still being used by students. I feel there is less peer pressure and visibility around campus as there might be at other universities. Enforcement by the university is very good.

I would definitely choose Liberty University again. I love ministry and Liberty offers what I consider to be the very best education in a Christian setting that I could find. My goals are to become a pastor and church planter, and to be involved in missions around the world. I believe that with a degree from Liberty my options upon graduation will be wide open.

With what I've seen and heard, there is no drug and alcohol visibility, usage, peer pressure, parties that are harmful, etc. Liberty University is I believe a drug-alcohol free school.

I am studying for Religion and Psychology in Liberty University. The workload is challenging but the faculty is there to help the student. Internship/job opportunities in LU is of excellent quality. I haven't participated in it yet but two business majors applied their skills in Asia with the Center for Global Engagement.

I am sure around Liberty University there are good quality of off-campus housing; however, I am not that familiar with it.

Most restaurants around Liberty University have a student discount. The variety of places are near by unless you decide on driving farther from the school. However, there are dining services on campus. There is one restaurant called "Docs Diner."

Guys & Girls:
In Liberty University, guys and girls dress with modesty. LU challenges all students in all their abilities in order to train them to be true champions in every area of life. Students respect their peers; and their school spirit, enthusiasm, strong character and motivation continue to strengthen LU's asset.

Liberty University has a wide variety of academic programs available. There is a law school, a nursing school, a seminary, a business school, and several other areas from which to choose. The registration process and financial aid process are both amazing. The advisers are so friendly and helpful. They try to make your time there as pleasant as possible. Most of the professors are wonderful as well. They do want you to get an education and they are rated fairly high and their workload reflects that.

As a religious education major, I feel I made the right decision for me. I loved all of my classes and feel that I have grown, but I am not exactly sure how I am going to use this degree. I am currently employed as a youth pastor and use it there, but I feel like it is going to move me from my current employment.

I love the program I am in. It is interesting and very engaging. It has caused me to reflect on many aspects of our American culture as well as other cultures in the world. The workload is sometimes heavy and requires a great deal of thought. Everything is not black & white. It is very subjective.

The process of getting into my Master of Religious Education was relatively easy. My Bachelor degree was obtained from Liberty as well, and it was in English and Religion. There is a minimum GPA, but mine was higher. The hardest part was deciding where to place my focus within the degree.

The food is pretty good, but the main dining hall is a 20 minute walk across campus from my dorm and it is only open at certain times of the day.

I don't have a car, so this really doesn't apply to me.

Virginia weather is warm and moderate in the winter. Little snow.

Dorms are relatively new and the units I lived in had washer/dryers in the unit, as well as a full kitchen.

Liberty gave me more aid than other schools I considered.

I have yet to complete my internship, but I have very little concern in finding one. As the student career center provides a vast amount opportunities for every major. My friends who have completed their internship, do seem rather pleased with their internship.

For my major, I had quite an easy process for admissions. I was able to meet with the head of that department and discuss career opportunities, as well as my classes. I didn't have to complete anything special, it was more so a processes of the school making sure my desired major was what I wanted. I do think LU really puts forth a lot of effort in this area. I's also like to mention the broad scale of programs LU has to offer: everything from Pastoral Leadership, to nursing.

Health & Safety:
There has never been a moment, while on campus, that I have felt unsafe. I'm sure this is largely due to LU's strict Code of Honor. As LU prohibits drugs, alcohol, and anything of that manner. Not to mention an early curfew. I do believe each of the students try their hardest to adhere to Biblical values, which largely contributes to feelings of safety.

While liberty University is excellent with providing lots or student activities, I must admit Lynchburg doesn't have much to offer, when it comes to attractions. While Lynchburg does offer some the finest scenery I've seen, the only means of entertainment it has to offer are fast food joints, and churches. Lynchburg, also know as Drenchburg, is know for it's unpredictable weather, often rainy weather.

Something i noticed immediately upon arrival is how friendly everyone is to each other. I had multiple students offer to help me move in to my dorm, and giving up your seat on the bus for a lady or holding the door for someone is as common as breathing.

Being a private Christian University, many of the people whom attend are white. However, we do have an excellent foreign program, and in my first semester i met many people from different countries. Possibly one of the larger challenges, however, is how the student body interacts with people of a non-straight sexual orientation. As Christians, it is widely accepted that homosexualtiy isn't best, and some of the student body is more vocal about this point than others. No one deserves to be an outcast for such reasons, and it would be nice if students were more tolerant and willing to help rather than just shrugging people off.

Bus fees are included in tuition, so students can travel throughout much of Lynchburg for free. On-campus, bus stops are near most major locations. The buses are generally on time, but the schedules can be confusing.

Health & Safety:
Liberty's campus feels safe at all times. Nearly everywhere is well-lit at night, and LUPD responds to calls fairly quickly. Campus crime is low, but students with ground-level rooms are advised to lock windows when they are out in case of theft.

I think the most unique aspect of my school is the spiritual life. I am very proud to admit that my school takes deep concern in the students relationship with Christ. I have had the the pleasure of praying with and for my professors. I do think Liberty is not only a place of excellent academia, but a training ground for true Champions for Christ. They offer everything from weekly Bible Studies with the Campus Pastors Office, to missions. They provide so many opportunities to grow in Christ, and establish the Kingdom. Liberty is a place of worship, and integrity.
