Parking on campus can be a nightmare. It's important to arrive early if you want to find a good parking space. There are tons of lots to park at, the walking distance is just a little far. But when you take the size of our school and the amount of people into consideration its pretty good.

I received a decent amount of financial aid and it was actually easier than I thought it would be. I suggest making regular in person appointments to make sure everything is running smoothly. Also the earlier you start your search for scholarships, grants and aid the better. The people that I spoke with were pretty understanding. It's important to just talk to a representative in either financial aid, the student advocate office or in student accounts and just tell them whats going on. They will try their hardest to help you!

Health & Safety:
I have never felt unsafe on Liberty's campus. It's really big but it also feels comfortable and small. Campus security is present but not over bearing!

Liberty has the best of the best of most everything minus it's dependable WiFi lol. But overall it is more impressive than other schools. The school has a saying that "if its christian it should be better." So that's what they try to do.

Living on campus at Liberty is awesome! As a freshman, you live on a hall with about 60 to 70 other people. People are very friendly and welcoming. Everyone usually becomes very close living on the hall and student leadership works to build dorm unity. The only downsides are that some of the dorms are older and you share a room with two other people. Though, the school is building new dorms that will be used in a year or two. From the pictures I have seen and things I have heard, these dorms are supposed to be very nice.

While Liberty is very diverse ethnically and by economic background, there is little diversity when it comes to other topics. Of course being a Christian university results in less diversity when it comes to political beliefs, religion or sexual orientation.

You know what you are getting into if you apply for Libery University. Its not hidden message. Its a Christ centered campus. I go to Liberty Online and it comes through. I don't have much knowledge of the on campus life.

Guys & Girls:
Christ-centered school atmosphere; most people are nice and friendly
College Senior 2013-06-24T23:02:19Z
Close proximity to school; not too expensive. Most of the options require you to have a roommate or share apartment
College Senior 2013-06-24T22:55:24Z
Several housing options, but rules are strictly enforced. No oncampus housing for grad students
College Senior 2013-06-24T22:46:56Z
No reliable public transportation, besides shuttle

The weather is kind of moody and the city is typically labelled 'Drenchburg' because it rains so often. However, it's usually fair and nice outside

There's not really a drug scene at Liberty as far as I know. The rules are pretty strict on being a no-drug or drinking policy, so you're not likely to see any drugs around.

There's a lot of easy fast food places around Liberty to get to, like Sonic and Taco Bell, etc. There's good variety from Osaka's, a really great shop with good japanese food, to Buffalo Wild Wings to Olive Garden. The off-campus food places aren't that expensive, too.

Liberty provides a lot of scholarships to the average student with a decent gpa.
most of the tuition i had to pay was taken care of by the liberty scholarships and by the fasfa, the rest that i have to pay is manageable for the average person.
College Sophomore 2013-06-24T19:13:02Z
there are alot of restaurants nearby, and a lot of variety. there's definately better choices, but i love the sonic that's near the back of the campus

The scenery is simply breath taking. The people are friendly, even further in Lynchburg past liberty. There is an air of safety and just Christ centered people everywhere. the blue ridge mountains and the elevation of the school make it's scenery truly breath taking.

Excellent. By far the most comprehensive and complete University, even for a first timer like me. It has been a pleasant experience, that encourages inner growth that will last a lifetime. Can't wait to achieve my degree

We have amazing athletics at Liberty. Pulling from an article that is in the "Liberty Journal," our campus magazine that I have on my desk - 15 athletic teams went to national championships this year, 20 different men's and women's teams compete in NCAA Division I, and 31 club sports teams are available for athletes.

Health & Safety:
The great thing about Liberty is that there is always someone willing to walk to to Walmart or back to your dorm at night. Very often the brother/sister dorms will have connections where the "brothers" make sure all the "sisters" get back to their dorm safely if they need to stay out past dark.

Virginia is an unpredictable state to live in. Lynchburg is probably the most unpredictable part of the state in terms of weather. Sunday it's snowing and by Friday it's sunny and warm. Then Monday rolls around and it rains straight for over a week. Be flexible with your wardrobe.
College Sophomore 2013-06-20T18:38:02Z
I don't have a car, but I know that the parking situation on campus is horrible. My friends constantly have to move their cars from lot to lot, avoiding LU Towing capturing their cars and holding them for ransom. The most typical place the student body parks is "The Pit", a parking lot on the very edge of campus and laying a few feet from a literal pit. The parking situation is bad, and it doesn't help that Freshman can bring their cars.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
