There is something to appeal to everyone from every ethnicity from Chipotle, Texas Roadhouse, Apple Bee's to local Mexican, Thai, and Japanese places, tec.

I'm sure the are those who sneak and get away with it, but the policy is very strict. I have not seen any smoking or heard of anyone doing drugs on campus and its not a part of the social scene.

There are a lot of great off campus restaurants! There is a highway right behind the campus, next to most of the dorms, that has a great variety of restaurants, both in cost and style. If you want to go farther from campus, downtown is only ten minutes away, and also has several good places to take a date.

I honestly do not regret coming to Liberty University. The academics are incredible, the professors are always willing to go the extra mile to help you succeed. Liberty provides you with the best in order to be successful not only in the classroom but out of the classroom.

Liberty's housing is very nice. Liberty has for different housing options.
East Campus, South Campus, the Hill, and the Inn.
All housing options offer great social atmospheres. The cost continues to change every year due to more students enrolling at Liberty. The housing process is actually one of the easiest process you go through when you arrive at Liberty. Great student leadership team to help people move in and out.. Starting this spring Liberty is starting to build new dorms that will model UVAs on-campus dormitories.

I came to Liberty University because it has a very successful communications program. They have the best professors in the communications department. The professors go out of their way to help you succeed. Their goal is to provide you with the essentials necessary to be successful in whatever career field you enter after college. The professors are always available to help answer questions and help you when you are struggling or behind. Class discussions are also a huge positive because of it being a smaller class. Everyone gives insightful thoughts in each class.

I gave this college an A- rating because I have encountered some people who have used drugs on campus. That said, I have had the opportunity to see how the campus deals with people who use drugs, and while they are very gentle with drug offenders, they are also very strict. Repeat offenders are booted off campus, and the end result of the entire drug scene is that either extremely few people offend, or they are very good at hiding it when they do.

I love the program I am in. I know that with the education and training I am receiving I can guarantee that I will be able to land a job in the future!

Since I just started, I don't know...come back in a couple of years.

I don't live on campus! I live at home :D A+ service!

Guys & Girls:
The people here are awesome! There are all sorts of people! There are outdoorsy hiker types, very athletic people, hipsters, musicians, preps and a lot of other type of people. Every one that I have met at Liberty has been friendly to me. People here love to just hang out with each other, play frisbee or other intermural sports, and participate in most of the activities that the school put on!

There are ton of different dining options on campus. There is the main dining hall that has a variety of options to choose from such as pasta, pizza, Mexican, burgers, gluten free, and Asian food. There are two places on campus similar to Subway that are included in your meal plan and also a place called Doc's Diner that has really good breakfast foods and burgers! There are also a few places that are quick "To Go" dining options. The only reason I gave the food an A- is because after eating it everyday for a while it becomes a little tiresome, but it by no means is bad food!

I received financial aid through FAFSA which was an easy form to fill out with my parents but it was not enough to cover my tuition bill. I suggest looking for outside scholarships while applying to universities in high school.

We are getting new buildings which is great. But there is still a lot of improvement to go.

The academic life at Liberty is rigorous and worth while. For those who are studious, it pays off and those who do not, complain. Some classes are easy, but others do require intense work and planning.

Health & Safety:
We have had a few instances of robbery in the library and on campus walking back. Other than that, it is pretty safe.

I can find a spot normally, but it is difficult late at night before curfew. And I feel sorry for commuters because they really have no parking.

LU has a no tolerance policy for drug usage, making drug use on campus pretty minor. This can vary, however, depending on the strictness of your RA, and the friends you hang out with.
College Senior 2012-11-26T18:36:42Z
There are many options available, with many different price ranges. Still quite expensive, though, in my opinion.
College Senior 2012-11-26T18:35:45Z
Despite what one may think, being that LU is a christian university, the student body is very diverse, hailing from all regions of the world.
College Senior 2012-11-26T18:31:15Z
Transportation is very good, with many buses running at all hours of the day. My only complaint is the stop locations. I am on a major living area on campus, yet there is no direct route between my dorm and the main building for classes. This is a very big oversight and a little frustrating.
College Sophomore 2012-11-24T16:04:21Z
The school itself is a christian university so there are some obvious things to not do especially in the dorms because if the cops dont find out then your RA's will.
College Sophomore 2012-11-24T16:02:08Z
There are many things to do in the school itself but outside of school there are many restaurants and movie theaters to go to that even give students a discount.
College Sophomore 2012-11-24T16:00:30Z
They are always available and they have extra rooms to study with groups which helps especially for tests.
College Junior 2012-11-24T02:59:29Z
Liberty has a christian enviroment and you will never find the atmosphere at a state college.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
