It's Not Exactly Virginia Tech...

Although the athletic recognition is not nearly as high as that of Virginia Tech and University of Virginia, the Liberty University Flames do bring in quite a few fans for mostly all of their sporting events. A great aspect about Liberty athletics is that most the other schools in the conference are not that far away.

Liberty Athletics Suck

The only sport people care about is football in the fall. After football season is over, the campus is dead for the rest of the year.

Be Early, Be Loud, Wear Red

LU has tons of school spirit. For almost every home game, students are decked out in red attire and body paint, enthusiastically cheering on the Flames, which students are convinced helps the team to win. LU athletics are highly ranked in every one of its divisions and within the Big South conference. Also, Liberty's facilities are incredible, yet Chancellor Falwell is always seeking ways to improve them and keep them at top quality facilities not only for student-athletes, but for intramural athletes and regular students as well.
