Love the School!

I enjoy the fact that Liberty provides an excellent Christian education but also provides students with all th perks public universities have. We have every sport imaginable and most of them are Division 1 sports. The campus is always changing and building new things to keep it up to date. Liberty's atmosphere is awesome. Most of the students here are on fire for God and are willing to learn and grow.

Practically Non-Existant

If you are living on campus, the difficulty of finding alcohol or drugs is almost impossible.

No Seems to Know..

Really stinks for an online student. Everytime I call in I have to talk to different people and I get different answers to the same questions each time.

No one really seems to know exactly what's going on ever. Its like they are always guessing.

Drugs Are Not Tolerated

Liberty University is a Christian university with a very strict policy against drug use of any kind on campus. On campus usage can result in expulsion.

Liberty Activities

There is a lot to do on campus, and since I don't have a car, off campus activities are not an option this year. The university has a huge student center, snow plex, ice center, and nationally known speakers visit on a weekly basis.

NO DRUGS ALLOWED

Liberty is a drug and alcohol free campus! Drugs are NOT tolerated and possession is grounds for immediate dismissal. Liberty's strict policy against drugs and alcohol plus their strict housing policy is one of the things that attracted me to the school.

Liberty

Liberty is a great school. The people are generally nice and helpful (students and faculty). Great school for outdoors people. Liberty owns their own mountain with miles of trails. There is a year round artificial ski slope (free to students). Though liberty does have many top performing academic institutions (debate, quiz bowl, school of nursing), they also have many students who don't take academics seriously due to the high acceptance rate.

Liberty is a great school. Everyone is so friendly and helpfull.I am very happy I decided to go to school there.

Home Away from Home

I love my school! The campus is beautiful, the people are full of integrity. The food is great, especially the gluten free and Chinese selections. One of my favorite parts about the school is the mandatory Convocation every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning. It's like church three days a week.

Safety First!

The campus is safe at all hours. We have early curfews and well lit areas to walk to and from class at night and up to the dorms. I've never heard of any violent crimes or really any crimes in general happen on Liberty's campus. Any time you lock yourself out or feel unsafe a call to the campus police will clear everything up in a quick and timely fashion.

The Diversity

Liberty University is a christian college. I am sure there are different religions than Christian, and I am sure that even though it is a Christian college, that there are only athletes there to play sports. All around the atmosphere is pretty accepting. PDA is not allowed.

Buses, Buses, and More Buses

There are always buses running on campus and some even go off. There are also cars you can rent. There is a tunnel and pedestrian bridge for easy access to stores across Wards rd. Very good transportation, affordable, and easily accessed.

Very Safe Enviorment

When I visited the school for "College for a Weekend", I felt extremly safe and walked around by myself most of the time. It was a great atmosphere and you felt safe everywhere you went.

Diversity

I enjoy seeing and interacting with people from different cultures and race. It is important for ourselves to be surrounded and enjoy time with different people. It gives us more knowledge of their culture plus help us in our daily life.

Good So Far

I am an online student, so I haven't gotten the full college experience. From what I can tell, everyone I have spoken to over the phone has been very helpful and patient with me. The cost of tuition is reasonable. I have yet to get started with classes

Typical Ol' Weather

The weather is above average in Liberty University. We can more sunshine here than rain which is a big plus. Make sure you bring an umbrella with you whenever its cloudy outside. You never know when it might just start raining!

Always Convenient

Network speed is topnotch at Liberty University. Students can enjoy being able to use the schools Wifi network at many locations on campus. Liberty generally have enough computers for most students. If there seems to be none available, there are a few "secret" rooms in the computer labs that holds more of them.

We're Watching You

Being a Christian university, crime is not that much of a threat at Liberty University. However, campus police do make frequent rounds around campus, and there are security cameras in almost every corner of the school. Try to think twice before breaking the rules, a.k.a, "The Liberty Way". The punishment is always not worth it in the end.

Hottest Campus; Ready to Get Hitched?

Liberty has been labeled as one of the "most attractive" campus's around. Therefore our motto is "Ring by Spring" and if you don't want to get hit on by every guy you walk past, girls have to wear a ring - and claim they're dating God. If you aren't in a relationship, something is obviously wrong with you. Good thing everyone's gorgeous!

School Policies Affecting Students' Socal Lives

Liberty University is known for it's strictness in the areas of dating, dress, curfew, and partying. I think that the strictness is a good thing because it keeps kids from going out and doing things that they shouldn't. Strictness on dress also is helpful to keep ones attention on whatever they are doing instead of looking at someones revelaing clothing. Even though most people think that all of these restrictions will limit their ability to have fun and have social lives it is completly false. Liberty University is like every other campus in the ability to have fun; the only difference is that there is no drinking involved.

Buses

There are buses running at all times that are free for students although sometimes waiting for a bus to show up at the stops can take a long time. On the other hand the buses during class hours are usually convenient and don't take too long. Long-distance transportation as well as off-campus transportation is unavaiable. And, walking is usually the best option for getting anywhere quickly.

Not Really an Issue

Since Liberty is a Christian University a lot of students have good values and aren't interested in drugs or alcohol. The small amount of students that chose to do so are dealt with by RA's or other administration and it is not an issue for students that are not interested in getting involved.

Ok but Repetitive

Overall there is a lot of dining options at Liberty University. Although the actual dining hall got a little old after my first semester on campus, I'll still go there every now and then because there are a lot of options. Also other places on campus such as the diner and bistro and sub connection are also nice to have because they take swipes as well as the dining hall.

Extremely Strict

This school is amazing! but the rules here are very strict compared to a public school or even other christian private schools. The curfew is 12 on weekdays and 12:30 on weekends which I really don't mind. If your caught smoking or drinking on campus you could be expelled immediately no questions asked. The rules here really arent strict if you've grown up this way like me. If your not use to rules I would start looking at other schools

A College for Really Living Out Your Faith

When I came to Liberty University, I was already familiar with the great campus, and the wide variety of curriculum to choose from. Students are from around the world. One thing that blew me away was the deep bond of our shared Christian faith and values that all my friends and I shared almost immediately. High School was really difficult for me, and what happened at Liberty changed so much for me. I am living a life I never imagined and dreaming huge God-size dreams for my life now! I would totally recommend Liberty! Even though its a huge school, the classes "feel" smaller and the professors are the best!
