My school has friendly Teachers and classmates everyone is very helpful, and no one gets left behind in a lesson, there are reviews and classmates that share notes if you miss a class. For exams we have a study sheet so we know what will be on the exam. They really help you get the best grades you can.

The student body is very diverse, I've made friends with many returning students, students straight out of high school, parents trying to get a degree, and other students trying to renew their degree. Most students have part-time job though, so most usually have a busy week. Most are friendly, I haven't taken a class where I don't make any friends.

Class registration is done online here and I can't really complain about it. I've gotten in all the classes that I wanted even though most fill up quickly. I believe that you can get into any class if you really want to here, they even overlook the prerequisite sometimes. The professors are great in general. Most really want to see you succeed so they try their best to help you understand the subject and answer any questions. They are easy to contact and are usually available to meet.

I'm a mechanical engineering student in this college and the engineering program and the MESA program (mathematics engineering and science achievement) in my college does a good job at guiding me through transfer and any internships that sparks my interest. The counselors always encourage to set up a meeting every month to make sure we're on track, that is one of my favorite things about that program. The workload for most classes will keep you on your toes. The engineering building at East Los Angeles College isn't always fully quiet, so when I have a class in Los Angeles City College, I like using their library for quiet and intense study session.

You could be a big fish in a small pond at LACC. Though there aren't sports teams there are still clubs and room for new people.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The convenience of LACC along with the small classes and a few passionate teachers are all amazing. They simply do not have enough people working in the financial aid department.

The facilities are ok. The library and student union have improved signifigantly, but I have never heard of anyone really using the gym. There aren't printers in the student union building.

I am a business major and I am satisfied with the program so far. The relationships and experiences I have gained here have been useful in the real world. I would just like the equipment to be up to date and have more project based learning. I believe that through up to date technology and projects related to it, especially in the business department you can gain a lot of useful knowledge in the workforce.

The student body is definitely diverse. It is a very much commuter campus, being that the metro subway line is literally feet away from the school's entrance. This allows people to easily commute to school. There is access for disabled students to easy access the campus. The population here although diverse seems to have English as their second language so it sometimes becomes a problem in group settings in class. Overall, it seems that most students that come here may be working, have families, or own their own businesses. It is very much a school that opens its doors to its community.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
