I have been able to maintain my current employment as well as take care of my child without to much extra effort for rescheduling and finding someone else to do some of the duties when taking care of my child.

They are average in every aspect though I have not graduated I have some knowledge of the post-grad services and from what I can tell they are not being utilized due to grads not feeling like they will be of any help.

The school built a new gym a few years a go and it has the best equipment. The machines record your workout and you can download your progress onto a usb or have it emailed to you.

The school has a lot of computers and the employees are very friendly and helpful. There is wifi throughout the campus and the staff at the computer lab is more than happy to help if you have trouble using the wifi on any of your devices. Their library can be accessed online which makes it easy to do research from home when you dont feel like driving to school on a day off.

There is a lot of diversity at my school ranging from students concurrently enrolled in high school and college classes to students that have taken a break from school to start a family and are now returning to school.
College Junior 2013-09-27T14:36:22Z
The facilities on campus are very modern looking and are always clean. The whole campus has wifi, which makes my life easier and their library can be accesses from my tablet which is great for when I have research.

For Paralegal Students and students interested in Law, this program is a true gem. Also, there is a great opportunity for internships.

The LAMC Chicano program offers an excellent launching pad to forming a conscious, educated, active, and community-engaging citizen.
College Senior 2013-09-26T06:27:12Z
The campus is small but LAMC does offer an adequate library, a nice book store and access to a student health center as well as a student fitness center.
College Senior 2013-09-26T06:22:45Z
The student body at LAMC is a small one yet extremely active and socially conscious. I love the community involvement and welcoming nature students have on campus. Controversial yet necessary issues are discussed with the facilitation of campus resources. I admire the political and social involvement many students show by putting on informative and amazing events, guest lectures, and an active student government. I would say that LAMC is highly diverse and welcoming of all peoples.

I am a student in the Los Angeles Mission College Paralegal Program under the direction of Prof. David Jordan. The program offers an excellent array of classes that cover the basic and in-depths concepts needed to be a practicing paralegal. The program offers a completely online paralegal certificate path (which I only recommend to students who have excellent study skills or have extensive experience working in a law office). The other path to acquiring one's paralegal certificate is via the hybrid path. This path involves attending classes on campus which have an online component. The professors are excellent teachers and are either practicing attorneys or have had many (15+ ) years law practice experience. The program offers practical advice on how to improve one's attractiveness as a prospective paralegal. The professors are effective and provide excellent instruction. The professors are also extremely personable and approachable. They are willing and committed to making sure students reach their academic potential and help future career plans. Each course requires a substantial amount of dedication, their is a heavy workload and time management is a necessary ability. There is an extensive list of classes to choose from, which includes Business Law I, Business Law II, Introduction to Legal Assistant I, Introduction to Legal Assistant II, Tort Law, Wills, Trusts, & Probate Administration, Civil and Criminal Evidence, Legal Writing, Marriage and Family Law, Property and Creditor Rights, Basic Probate Procedure, and a Legal Research Lab. The program is comprehensive and very thorough. The registration process at LAMC is a rather easy one. However, the Paralegal classes for first-time students at LAMC are limited, because of a late registration appointment, so the best chance to get into the classes as a first time student at LAMC is to attend in-person classes and get an add code for the classes. Overall, the Paralegal Program at LAMC is magnificent. It is highly accessible, practical, and I recommend it to any one serious about Law, Law School, or highly qualified students.

I want to major in Administration of Justice and I really like all my classes so far.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
I have never received financial aid however, those in the admissions office are always polite and helpful. Since it is a community college, tuition is forty-six dollars per unit which is expensive, yet cheaper than a university.

The only thing i can think of is the updated facilities that they have recently built. There arent really any sororities or social events that really bring people together.
College Junior 2013-09-17T19:43:49Z
There really isn't a large amount of diversity. I always see the same type of ethnicities however, everyone is accepted and clubs have been created to connect with those of the same ethnicity.
College Junior 2013-09-17T19:42:22Z
There is plenty of computers and printing options however everytime i sign onto the wifi on my iphone i get kicked off and have to sign back on time after time. I would reccomend students bring their own laptops.
College Junior 2013-09-17T19:41:11Z
I absolutely love the resources on campus. The library is nice and they have just recently built a book store that is new and updates. The health and fitness center is also newly built with a new fitness center, classrooms, yoga studios and a track. Campus activities are always advertised and student receive emails when something new is occuring.

Not So Much to Say. There are some things that help like tutoring, but they can be very rude at times if you keep asking questions. They make me feel like I am dumb by the way they answer me.

Over Crowded – Sometimes the computers for use on campus are all taken, and I do not get a chance to really use them sometimes. I got my own computer for that reason. The printing stations are okay sometimes, but not always reliable, because they are either not working, or have no ink.

I am a Child development and liberal arts major. There is a wonderful program here, and the professors and chair of the department has helped me so much explaining exactly what I needed to know, different options I can do in this field besides being a preschool teacher, and on universities that would help me the best in what I want to pursue.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Need More Assistance. When I first started I did not receive too much because me and my parents were working, and now I have exceeded the amount of units, so I am only receiving help for the classes on my student educational plan. But now I really need more help because My parents and I are not working now and I am struggling financially.

I have had an overall good experience so far. The most frustration I've had is taking classes that were required to get to the courses I need that will count for my aa and transfer. Also trying to pass a mathmatics class. I only math to receive my aa, and more math to transfer. I have went to tutoring, study and homework everyday. I wish they had the course I need at a slower pace, and more support. I have had wonderful professors though to help guide me and give me that confidence.
