I am just glad that the year is over and I have moved my daugther to another college. As a Christian Mom, this was a financial mistake to attend, Many classes she was required to take for her major are of no use, and it is anything but a Christian atmosphere. I know there are good people on the campus and true Christians, but nothing like I thought it would be. Looking forward to a new year in a new place.

Health & Safety:
The campus is secure it is very small so not much could really happen without people knowing about it.
College Sophomore 2013-06-10T19:21:45Z
There is barely any at all. The school has strict rules about it so if it happens people do it in private.

The School gives you good scholarships but the school is still very expensive

They are very strict if caught drinking anywhere on campus you will be kicked out of the school. Guns in any form are prohibited. No guys in girls dorms and vice versa.

Health & Safety:
I have never felt unsafe, but I also do not live on campus. I have heard about things that have happened that leave me questioned about the security.

All teams are average, with many intramural programs. The coaches are sub-par.

The off-campus housing is horrendous. Many students I know have to pay exorbitant rent, for low-quality housing. That said, most of the on campus housing is not much better. In the small town of Pineville, many student have to look into apartment complexes that are 30+ minutes away from the school.

There are many different cultures here at Louisiana College, various backgrounds that the students have come from. For example, I know a woman who grew up with a silver spoon, and a man who grew up living on the street. Political views are somewhat diverse, with many students being of the Republican (Conservative viewpoint) and few who are Democratic. There is a bias against homosexuality at this college. One may not be openly gay or lesbian, and will have to hide their sexuality for fear of expulsion. The are many foreign exchange students, from China, and South Korea, and other from African nations. All are very respectful people, although many do not stay due to financial reasons, as this college is very expensive.

The campus at Louisiana College is great. Especially if students like to be in a small community. The school isn't to big nor to small and lets the students stay focused with there studies. Louisiana College also has a great student union (The Student Center) where any student can find tons of help for their preferred major. The students can also find a burger shack (The Grille), a coffee shop (Java City), post office, bookstore, nurse and the game room. This is the most popular place to hang out if living on campus.

Parking on campus is not a huge deal. Next to every building on the campus there is a parking lot next to it. If anything that is to look out for is the parking lot by the English Village apartments. It is made of dirt and gravel.

The computer lab is highly dependable. The internet speed is good, not to fast nor to slow. There is wireless access at the Student Development Center on campus. Printing on campus is really cheap, its only 10 cents a page.

In the cities of both Pineville and Alexandria there is really not much to do. If any Nightlife clubs a resident much be 21 years of age or older. But drinking is not permitted at the campus nor tolerated. The best bet a person has to go anywhere is Buffalo Wild Wings, Finnegan's Wake or Rag to Riches. Other then that a student can go to the movie theatres, bowling or out to eat.

Health & Safety:
Louisiana College's Security do great in helping protect the school. They are always available when needed. The security runs laps around the school numerous times through out the day to make sure there is no violence or theft.

Our college is in Louisiana so you never know how the weather is going to be. When it rains it sometimes floods in certain areas.

The atmosphere is nice and most students know each other. There is a mall and parks to go to. There is also a movie theatre.

Registration recently became online and there are a few kinks that are still being worked out. Engineering is not available but there is still a variety of options to choose from.

As a private school, they give a lot of financial aid to students. Most of the time everything goes smoothly.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
