Parking Isn't Too Bad

Because LC is such a small school, most people just walk everywhere. Even if you do have to park by a different building than you need to be in, most of them are pretty close to walk to.

Typical Louisiana Weather

The worst weather we ever really get here is heavy rain. If that happens, however, make sure you have a pair of rainboots to wear to class because the sidewalks become lakes very quickly.

Safe to Live Here, but Don't Go Out at Night Alone

The campus is pretty safe and secluded, but it is in the middle of a residential area where a good handful of registered sex offenders reside. Walking around on campus at night, especially alone, is definitely not recommended. There have been reports of creepy guys on campus, and the RAs recommend that if you're female, you should definitely carry mace with you. The girls' dorms require key cards to enter the building and the hallways, so living on campus is very safe. I have never had a security issue with parking on campus.
