There aren’t many major security issues at Louisiana College. The biggest complaint is that the campus is not well-lit, especially around the girls’ parking lots by Cottingham Forest. In recent semesters, there have been a few reports of strange men hanging around this parking lot, but nothing serious has ever happened. Girls are generally discouraged from walking around campus alone at night. Also, students should be sure to lock their cars; car break-ins are probably the most frequent crime. LC Security has a small staff, but they generally respond quickly to calls and are on duty 24 hours a day. The campus is very safe compared to that of a larger school or a school located in a big city.

The student health services at LC are excellent. The nurses’ office is open during class hours, and a doctor is on-campus every Wednesday to provide more advanced care. Students can get flu vaccinations at a low price. Health services also do a great job at keeping contagious diseases from spreading. They work with the RA staff to post advisories about any bugs that may be going around, so students are always informed about health risks and disease prevention. An annual health and wellness fair helps educate students about the importance of good hygiene and an active lifestyle. Plus, LC’s partnership with the Louisiana Athletic Club gives students access to even more health information.

Safe and Secure

Louisiana College is relatively small and secure. The campus security is always present and people are always traveling in the area.I feel safe on campus, because of the home-bound security.

Overall Ok.

They say the police are there whenever you need them. There is one cop car driving around at night. The girls dorms are poorly lit and are scary as heck to walk to at night because people could be hiding anywhere and you wouldnt know it. the whole campus needs to be lit up more.

Secure and Lots of Limits

I felt safe always at LC. The security is 24 hour and always riding around. LC has a small campus so crime is no issue. The dorm doors are locked at midnight every night so that a member of the opposite sex cant sneak in. Pineville has a very low crime rate. Small baptist town in central louisiana.
