Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

LC is definitely not a party school, and the party scene is essentially nonexistent on campus. Off-campus parties are not advertised at all. You have to ask around to find out about any social events. The football and baseball teams are a good place to start, as most parties are hosted by athletes. The few bars that the area has to offer are expensive but relatively close to campus. Make sure to get a designated driver if you plan to drink because the school does not provide a shuttle service.

If this sounds boring to you, you should probably look into a different school. If you're looking for a campus with a Christian environment, though, you’re in the right place. IHOP is the most popular nighttime hangout for most LC students. There, the most potent drink is a caffeinated beverage or a cup of hot coffee, and a "wild night" means talking and laughing with your friends until 4 in the morning. Even something as mundane as going to Wal-Mart can turn into a good time if you go after midnight with a group of friends. Thankfully, even though LC is strict in many regards, there is no campus curfew, so students can stay out as late (or early) as they want.

Awful

I dont think I have one positive thing to say about this school, who ever gave this school the grade of a B for girls is on meth 95% are fat and have yellow teeth the other 5% that are only about a 7 or an 8 and thats being VERY kind are wifed up or get ran through by all the black guys on the football team on top of all that you cant even bring them back to your room onto another subject the food is atrocious and fattening but apparently that doesnt matter in pineville,la if you enjoy letting loose on the weekends have fun driving to laffayette which is essentially a giant crack town and more than an hour away plus you do all this work for what is some of the worst bars and clubs i have ever seen.....since i was 15, the dorms are small and old and they flood whenever it rains the bathrooms are comunal and the showers cave in with mold the fatass linemen dont shower and leave staff infection on the toilet seats also the education you recieve is down right awful the teachers tell you the universe revolves around louisiana as if it couldnt be more the oppostie as LA is the only napoleonic state and that every historical figure was a devout lutheran good luck using this information in the real world although ive FINALLY found a positive the class sizes are great if thats all you care about along with jesus then you might have found a home here if it isnt..... DONT COME HERE!!!!

We Need More Activities

Night life could really be improved. We have some organizations, gatherings, and events every so often, but the interest level is generally low. It is also hard for commuters to go to the events at night and it would be nice if more mandatory events could be scheduled earlier and more fun events scheduled more often. People generally have to carpool or go together somewhere off campus because the local area is not well diverse for fun activities.

Bar ListingsWhat's This?

Spirits Food & Friends

Spirits is a restaurant and bar that features live music every Friday night. The wine and beer selection isn't the best and drinks are pricey, but the food is good.

Unique Bar and Lounge

Unique is the area's only gay bar. It's not popular with students, and the pricey cover keeps most students away. Be sure to dress nice if you want to check it out.

Alexandria

Finnegans Wake Pub

Finnegans is the best bar in Alexandria (which honestly doesn't say much). The atmosphere is a blend of Irish and Redneck. It's a little pricey for the average student, but live music and a good selection of beer make Finnegans worth a visit. Plus, if you wear a Finnegans shirt on Tuesdays, you'll get a free pint.

Frosty Factory Inc.

The Frosty Factory is the most popular hangout for students. The atmosphere is upbeat and fun, but be prepared to shell out for drinks.
