There are always apartments available in the Pineville/Alexandria area, but it's a good idea to begin your housing search during the summer before the semester starts. Give yourself at least three weeks to search so you can be sure to get the best price and location.

Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

Unless they live with relatives or are married, LC students are required to live in the dorms until they are 21 years old. By that age, most students have either graduated or are only a semester or two away from doing so, so this policy is frustrating to many students who would like to save money on housing and who prefer the independence of living alone.

Off-campus housing is not difficult to find, and it isn’t much more expensive than living in the dorms, so older students often choose to live on their own. There are several apartment complexes located under 15 minutes from campus. Small homes or apartments are easy to find in the Garden District. If you choose to move away from campus, though, you’ll miss out on some of the best experiences LC has to offer. The school and surrounding area can be pretty boring if you don’t get involved with residence life.

Whatever

You have to be 21 or a living with your parents if you want to live ff campus. Parking on campus is atrocious and a nightmare. Cost of dorms doesnt live up to what it should be.

Close to School

There is not a lot of options for off campus housing. But the apartments that are nearby are relatively cheap and close to the school.

Not Really an Issue for Me

We are not allowed to live off campus unless we are above the age of 21 unless you live with a guardian. So, I really have no knowledge of the subject.
