Commuter students sometimes complain about the parking situation. There are two main commuter lots, one located at each end of campus. The large lot, found behind the Martin Performing Arts Building, always has free spaces and is convenient to MPAC, Guinn, the student center, H. O. West, and Alexandria Hall. The smaller lot, located across from the Fine Arts Building, is convenient to the FAB, the library, Cavanaugh Hall, and Alexandria Hall. Parking for sporting events can be more difficult to find. On-campus students can easily walk to the games, but commuters have the best shot at finding a space in the large parking lot behind MPAC.
Parking permits can be obtained at registration or at the LC Security Office. Permits are free and must be displayed in the back window; if the permit is not visible, you will get a $15 fine. This fine is loosely enforced by campus security. It is more common to get a ticket from parking in restricted zones than to get a ticket for an incorrectly displayed permit.
The main problem with LC parking is that the lots are in disrepair. Potholes, cracks, and loose gravel make the lots look like a war zone, and the newly added gravel lot on the slope behind EV has already become a sad commentary on the power of erosion. Overall, though, the convenience of the small campus size keeps parking from being a major hassle.

Poor Parking
The parking at the male droms are cramped, but the girls dorms are tolerable. Non-residential life have a lots of places to decide. Tickets are $25 but are rarely given. Small campus so no real need for a car.

Parking Is Available but Frustrating
I don't have a car, but those who do are frustrated by the distance they have to walk from their cars to class. They're just whining, really: we have a really small campus.

One More Lot
We have several parking lots, but they fill up FAST. The only available ones tend to be the furthest away, and it makes it difficult to get to class on time, or if you have a lot to carry with you. At least one more parking lot should be available that's closer to the main buildings.
