Campus Tours

Campus tours run most Mondays through Fridays. Call and make sure of tours during spring break, holidays, in between semesters. The walking tour of academic buildings at LSU starts at 10 a.m., but you should sign up at 9:30 a.m. After the hour tour, you can attend an information session from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. that will offer you more information on things like admissions and student aid. Fill out your tour form online at www.lsu.edu/recruiting.

Prospective Weekend

Spring Invitational (formerly Spring Testing) Spring Invitational is an orientation session for admitted students with high GPAs and ACT scores. Invited students get the chance to take tests to place out of multiple classes, schedule before most other LSU students, and meet with their faculty advisors, as well as participate in plenty of fun activities and get a better feel for the campus. SPIN is usually in the beginning of April. Requirements include a 28 ACT and a 3.2 GPA in their 18 core classes. After March 4, high schools can recommend students with lower GPAs or ACTS. Keep in touch with your school about SPIN. For more information, contact the office of Office of Orientation at (225) 578-2634. SPIN is a golden opportunity to get a feel for the campus, as well as to test out of several hours of classes. Unlike the other information sessions offered in the summer, SPIN is the focus of the campus for the several days you are there.
