The campus police don’t enjoy taking trash talk from a bunch of mouthy, so-called young adults, so it is best to steer clear of members of campus police that have been at Loyola two years or longer. They hold grudges and have a very good memory of all that you have done. They will give you a parking ticket within five seconds of your meter running out of change, and they will sit outside in their cars staring up into the dorms, looking for parties. As punishment for such transgressions, freshmen will have a not-so-nice note sent home, or you may have to attend an alcohol class, pay a fine, or write a letter of apology. If you happen to be unlucky enough to answer your front door with a drink in hand while having a noticeably loud party, you will find your sad story in the police blotter section of next week’s paper. But it’s okay because it’s like you’re famous—cut it out, laminate it, and send it to all your family and friends. Students Speak Out

Campus police are strict, and if you’re caught, there are some serious consequences. You have a hearing, are given a fine, and depending on the seriousness of the crime, are put on housing probation or community service hours. |

It's easy not to get caught...
It's easy not to get caught drinking, but it's usually a pain if you do get caught. Just don't attract too much attention, and you'll be fine. Don't even think about doing drugs unless you want to get suspended from school.
