Advice
- If you have work-study, it is very easy to find a job on campus that fits your interests, schedule, and needs. However, if you are looking for something off campus, then LMU still has services to help you in the search. Career Development Services and Student Employment Services connect students with on- and off-campus opportunities. Career Development Services also offers career counseling, an interview guide, résumé help, workshops and other events to help you succeed. They will also connect you with online sites like MonsterTrak through monster.com When looking for a job, it doesn’t hurt to be aggressive. For an on-campus position, stop in and inquire about available positions. It shows that you are enthusiastic about working in that department. Also, ask your friends. Students often hear about available positions before Student Employment Services. For off-campus jobs, check online or with Career Development Services.
