College Prowler Take
LMU students reflect LA’s obsession with appearance. Everyone here looks good and dresses well. The general attitude of students is that the student body is hot. While that may seem intimidating to some, students are mostly friendly and outgoing. After the frenzy of the first semester, students return from winter break more relaxed and social. The ratio of guys to girls on campus means that when finding members of the opposite sex, the guys have a greater advantage. LMU girls typically look outside of the school for a guy, and Los Angeles’ other colleges are good places to begin. Even though LMU is a Catholic school, students are not strangers to sex. Although stories of girls sleeping with entire fraternities are rare, many students are in serious, committed relationships. However, if you just want to have fun, chances are you can find someone here after the same thing.

This is LA so everyone on campus is beautiful, dresses well, and is incredibly fit. This is not the kind of campus where students will go to class in their pajamas, ever. Everyone seems to be pretty interested in appearances, but it's not overwhelming.

There aren’t enough guys here, which sucks for us girls. Yeah, everybody’s hot, but that only matters if that is the only thing you base your relationships on. |

Everyone is really nice and pleasant to get along with—guys and girls alike. There is always someone ready to talk with you about anything on your mind! |

Our school has an obvious female majority, but there’s definitely nothing negative in that! The guys and girls are as diverse as they would be at any school, in everything from ethnicity to interests, so it’s not so easy to generalize. One thing I can say is that this school is definitely a |

I’d say that there are no especially ugly people at LMU. Everyone is very presentable. Hey, this is LA, where everyone is in the latest fashions, and everyone tries to look their best. |
FactsBirth Control Available?
Yes - Birth control is available from the health center.
Social Scene
After one semester, students know almost everyone on campus because everyone is very outgoing. Orientation is a big ice-breaker, and the dorms allow for close interaction and strong friendships. Students tend to hang out with other students within their majors, so seeking out students with similar majors and interests is a must. There are some cliques among students in film, biology, and engineering.
Hookups or Relationships?
Many students are in serious relationships, and by sophomore year, many couples share an off-campus apartment. Students looking for random hookups will always find someone looking for that level of commitment. The guys on campus seem more interested in just hooking up, while many of the girls are after Mr. Right.
Best Places to Meet Guys/Girls
Dorms, extracurricular activities, and yes, classes are the most popular ways to meet the opposite sex. The rec center is a popular place before and after class, so check out the pool and the gym. Students often meet their perfect match by joining the same club, CLC group, or service organization.
Dress Code
If it's in style, chances are LMU students are wearing it. Most students look like they stepped out of an Abercrombie and Fitch catalogue, while Armani Exchange, Diesel, and Juicy Couture also rule. Bring your UGG boots and flip-flops, because few students just roll out of bed and go to class in their pajamas.
