Loyola athletics has many talented teams and players, and Loyola's name in sports is definitely on the rise. The men's basketball team recently made the NCAA tournament, and the men's lacrosse team brought home the NCAA championship. Basketball, soccer, and lacrosse are the most popular sports at Loyola, and we have some of the best athletes in the country. Our athletic program is very strong, and students are encouraged to attend games and support the athletes.
There is no shortage of school spirit here. At every game, the bleachers are always packed with student superfans, and we have been called the best college fan section in the country. There is a sea of green at every sporting event, and it is so fun to join the Loyola community in supporting our student athletes at their games. Attending games is easy as well, because every student can get tickets with their student ID. Many students join in athletics through intramural teams. There are teams for anything from soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey to inner tube water polo, squash, and flag football. With the amazing FAC, there's no shortage of student recreation opportunities.
