The academics and workload at Loyola vary by professor. Some professors are easier than others, and some are more helpful than others when you need some extra help. All professors have special office hours where they have to be available for any student who needs them outside of class. One thing that is certain is that you must be prepared to write at least one paper, whether it be one page or several pages.
If you are really outgoing, you will most likely be one of those students who has a great relationship with your adviser and department. Some students have had to switch advisers because they felt like they were not receiving adequate attention, but it is a simple and easy process. For scheduling, the order is freshmen one day, seniors the next, juniors the day after, and then finally sophomores. Athletes and honors students tend to register with freshmen, but some do register with their class levels. If ever you have a problem, you can call the Office of Student Records or talk with your adviser.
