Luther School of Nursing has a very friendly atmosphere and staff, although their scheduling is not flexible at all. Luckily they allow you to take classes at other institutions to allow for more flexibility.

Diploma Program – Lutheran is the only school in the state to offer a nursing diploma program. It's a private for profit school. You can transfer to a RN-BSN program after you've graduated.

Work/School/Life Balance – School is when they say. Monday through Friday. It's best to work a weekend job.
If you don't stay near the school, commuting can be hectic.
They do offer Dorms. You get your own room.
If you can try to get a job at St. Alexius Hospital, they will discount your tuiton.

No Waiting List – The other schools in the area had a waiting list to get into the nursing program which was 1 year and more. I will start at Lutheran in Fall 2011 and the nursing program in Spring 2012.
