Tuition & Financial Aid:
I was not very pleased with the financial aid process and the tuition of the school. The tuition is close to $35,000 for each program and to get your Bachelors degree, it's double that so I'm definitely feeling the pressure of being able to afford it. When I applied for financial aid I was sent to take a bunch of steps only for them to tell me there was one more step about 3 more times. It took about 3 to 4 months just to finish the Financial Aid process and even then I am not sure how I'm going to afford this school.

All the online work we get for our classes is very easy to find and easy to work. The people who developed the school's site did a very in depth organization so that everything is very accessible. The work load isn't overwhelming, it is just the right amount and the students are able to communicate easily while on the site with other students. Sometimes there are discussion forums posted and they are easy to answer and respond to other posts. One other nice feature, is by every assignment, the due date is posted and when it is overdue the date changes color so that it is red.

Madison Media Institute has amazing facilities to work in and the teachers are very good at getting to know their students on more personal level so they can properly assist them in the direction they want to go. If you can't make it to class and you email the teachers and let them know they are very good at getting you caught up. The online source for students who go to this school are very easy to understand an extremely helpful when it comes to staying on top of everything. Financial Aid was a bit of a hassle, but there is nothing I didn't like about this school other than the fact that it is extremely expensive. I know with the education I receive here I will be able to find jobs that are satisfying for me and that I enjoy going to every day.

There are a decient amount of labs however they ususaly have a class going on wich can fill the room and you will need to relocate, they have a motion capture studio, recording studio and various video and film areas. other then equipment required for your program the school offers very little in any other department

The Online portion of the schooling mainly the LMS is fine most of the time however it dose have its glitches which can work to your advantage more times then not. There is also an issue of course materials needing to be updated.

For the most part the flexability in the classes is there to an extent they will do what they can to work with your schedule but they can only do so much.

While the school is small what they have tech wise is the best they can afford, with a full recording studio and motion capture lab the school is dedicated to its programs

Tuition & Financial Aid:
Easy to get FA unfortunately it dosnt cover all the costs of tuition and due to the lack of dorms you have to take care of your own living arangements which is a distraction if you are low on money.

The recording program is fantastic because the instructors are real-world professionals. My audio instructor has worked with Slipknot on a couple records, and another has produced several Mariah Carey albums. I love the projects assigned to us because they're practical exercises of scenarios that we will see anytime in our career.

The curriculum at MMI is, without question, the reason I chose this school. The courses are directly related to our career field, we get copious amounts of hands-on real-world experience which is absolutely necessary in the audio world. Not everything you learn is derived from a textbook. The instructors fill in the gaps seamlessly.

Tuition & Financial Aid:
The financial aid department has helped me immensely. Starting school again after being out of it for so many years was a scary thing. I wasn't sure if I would be eligible for financial aid, how I would pay for school, but when I came to them they walked me through everything without making me feel inferior for not knowing the process.

I am in Game Art and Animation. First semester classes are balanced nicely between general studies and program specific courses. The workload ranges anywhere from moderate to low depending on the class. For first semester the workload is quite manageable, it will increase as the program progresses though so time management is important. As far as the course curriculum goes it all has relevence to the program I am in and the classes are tailored to focus on aspects that pretain to my programs course of study. The facilities are up to par with what you would expect from a media centered school and provide several places to work when not in class, all with easy access to faculty. I actually prefer to do most of my course work on campus for this reason, that and the facilities provide an excellent work environment. There is a department, Career Services, dedicated to helping you find a job or internship opportunities, a great place to start your search.

Being as the school is focused on Media everything is pretty up to date tech wise. Labs are open any where from ten to twenty hours a day for student use. Each student has a printing allowence per semester that they can print documents from on campus. So far i havent heard any complaints about network speed or reliabliity as i said before its a media school most of our work is on computers. WiFi is accessable though out campus for all students. As far as haveing your own personal equipment its a plus but not necessary all of the essentials that you will need can be found on campus.

This school has a great policy to make sure everyone is getting help where it is needed. Teachers will work around your schedule to help you out, and will always check in to Mae sure you are doing ok. It's a great environment for learning.

The professors are extremely experienced and knowledgable. I believe thy could be more lenient with the workloads, but the curriculum is structured well.

The computer labs and student server is very accessible. There I no printer to my knowledge for student use. I print my materials from home. Ink is not cheap! The wireless connection is very secure and free to use my iPad.

Computers could be improved, and optimized for the GAM program. There is no gym or facility to provide for exercise. I actually applied for a Gym Membership outside of my school, to keep de-stressed, and in shape. I wish we had healthier alternatives other than chips, pop, and candy available for the long nights we spend working on projects and animations. The breakroom is always bustling with chatter and many friends talking about projects.Though, this isn't a dorm or campus you can live on, the school does it's best to accommodate.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
