Transportation programs cover a wide range of study paths that generally prepare individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to perform tasks and services that facilitate the movement of people or materials. General concentrations include air, ground, marine, and rail transportation, and all related subsets. Course topics could cover: principles of aircraft design and performance, aircraft flight systems and controls, construction digging, ditching, sloping, stripping, grading, operating gas/diesel/electrically-powered vehicles, loading and unloading cargo or passengers, among many others.
