Once again, you are in New York City—the greatest city in the world with a multitude of things to do. For students into drinking, there are bars everywhere, from small local bars to fancy clubs, some of which throw pretty extravagant parties. There are also some really, really rich clubs that celebrities hang out at (the types of clubs with cover charges more than your entire house). For students who aren't into drinking or are under 21, there are also plenty of options, with everything from sporting events to Broadway shows. Plus, there are movie theaters and restaurants that make for a great evening. In addition to being the home of sporting events, Madison Square Garden also holds concerts and shows. During Christmastime, Rockefeller Center hosts the Christmas tree lighting, which is spectacular. Students can spend New Year's Eve in Times Square, which is the craziest night a student will ever endure.
Several Manhattan College students will throw house parties, mostly juniors and seniors who have their own places off campus. There aren’t too many of these types of parties, but a few will pop up every now and then. The experience of parties is great around Manhattan College. The students take full advantage of the fact that they go to school in New York.
