If you are into small towns, and a family like atmosphere then Mansfield is the place for you. As far as attractions, there aren't many in town. Main street consists of quite a few restaurants, and a couple bars. Also, there is a bowling alley, Walmart, and a few fast food places near by. The closest malls are about 45 mins to an hour away, but the campus provides transportation to those on the weekends. The Mountie shuttle bus can take you to Walmart at various times in the day, along with just about any where in Mansfield you need to get to. Mansfield is great about having about 2-3 concerts a year which have included artists such as Mac Miller, Kip Moore, Brantley Gilbert, The Band Perry and more. They also have bus trips every month that include going to Washington D.C., NYC, and Baltimore for $10.

There is really not much for people to do, outside of outside activities like hiking or hunting. There is little city like entertainment or shopping capabilities

There's only one main street, nothing special on it. There are two bars in town, again, nothing exciting. Very, very dry campus. It's very hard to find a (good) party.

The local atmosphere in Mansfield is very friendly, it seems almost as if everyone has their door open and they're willing to help you or answer any questions you may have. The area doesn't really have much to do, and you have to travel to hang out at a mall or find a movie theater. The college campus is full of activities on the weekends and my friends and I never fail to find something fun to do on the weekends. There are tons of cultural events of the area and the campus and town are extremely safe. Shopping is at a minimum if you're used to having malls/ shopping outlets. There is a strip of road where nearly all of the family owned shops are on, and they are very interesting. The sports here at Mansfield University is at an all time high, the sports here are supported by students, Alumni, professors, and the community. The local people support the university and enjoy using the campus as a place to exercise or relax.

Mansfield, Pennsylvania is a quaint little town situated on the Tioga River in Eastern Tioga County, PA. The town has a strong history of hard work and dedication. Mansfield was a coal town in its heyday, and the working class still calls the town home. Locals are typical of the Northern Wilds: Incredibly friendly and genial, fond of laughing and telling stories, and overwhelmingly hospitable. Every Sunday, Mansfield's half a dozen churches fill with locals and college students alike, and there is an excellent degree of unity between the two demographics. When one becomes a student at Mansfield University, it is almost as if he or she has moved into town and becomes a local themselves. Anyone with access to a car can at any time take a nice half hour drive our past Wellsboro to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon and enjoy the breathtaking scenery and great air for a hike. A complete newcomer will have no trouble at all finding it; there are literally signs everywhere. The University Marching Band, The Spirit and the Pride of Pennsylvania, is a sight that none should miss. They play at every home football game and in every parade in town during the school year. They are a wall of sound! There are innumerable other things to mention as well.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
