Parking is not all that great. If you don't have a class early in the morning you will be parking in the back because the spots fill up quick. I feel like the cost of the parking permit is outrageous compared to the last school I attended.

I have not completed my internship yet but I plan to do one because I want to get the most I can out of college and I want to be the best, most successful I can in the end.

There are malls and many restaurants close by. I grew up in this city so it's not much excitement for me but there are many things to do for those who aren't very familiar with the school.

Guys & Girls:
Many of the people I have encountered have been pretty nice and helpful as school work and trying to get me involved in activities around school.

Receiving financial aid is probably my greatest issue with the school because the school is pretty expensive and they make it a struggle for students to receive the extra money they need for the school.

I don't know much about the sororities/fraternities on campus but for the most part everyone gets along.

My school has great resources for using their computers, printing, and other options.
College Junior 2013-11-19T14:55:22Z
The food options aren't the best. They could be better.
College Junior 2013-11-19T14:53:52Z
The school doesn't participate much in throwing parties but other options are places off campus.
College Junior 2013-11-19T14:51:25Z
They offer a few housing options by the school. Of course you would have to pay rent but they do offer that to students who are 21 and older. They also give you the option of commuting from a parent's house as well.

We have not really endured much bad weather on my campus but I can tell safety is the most important thing to my school because whenever there is a chance of bad weather, they notify all of the students either by email or text of the conditions.
College Junior 2013-11-19T14:45:25Z
My school nodes not have a transportation option as of right now because it is a pretty small campus. I use my own transpiration traveling from home to school and back. The drive isn't too far though.

My school has one of the best football teams in the state and has also won national before. We are known for our great football team.

The are a few organizations that would look great on a resume if you were part of some of them. There are some pretty comfortable lounge areas and also quiet areas to get a lot of work done.

I love the school I attend. Although, no school is perfect, the advantages definitely outweigh the disadvantages. One thing that really stands out to me and that I really appreciate about the school is the many opportunities the school offers. We are required to do an internship before we graduate which betters our chances of getting a job after graduation. The advisor I have now, I would not trade her for the world because I see how passionate she is about helping her students succeed.

My school campus is pretty diverse. With this being such a small university, people come from everywhere and have very different views and beliefs. Many people that attend follow a catholic religion but there are many others of Christian beliefs.

All you have to do is ask. Marian's location makes a variety of dining options easy to grasp.
College Senior 2013-11-05T20:21:40Z
With the purpose of attending college being to further education and make many doors available later in life. i would have to say that Marian is an excellent place to attend. The academia is above par.

Off campus housing is really area based. Marian is located in kind of a sketchy part of Indianapolis. It's not exactly dangerous, but it is difficult to find a house that there is extraordinary peace of mind. If you want a large peace of mind in your living location it is best to stay 10-15 minutes north of campus, near Butler University, Downtown, or Broad Ripple.

Aramark does not really do that well when it comes to campus dining. The food is usually pretty bland and has a very limited time frame which many of the students cannot make it to.
College Senior 2013-11-05T20:15:36Z
Campus is small enough that weather doesn't inhibit or slow down traveling across campus to the dorms, classes, or to your car. It is unpleasant just because its bad weather though. There was one winter with a really bad ice storm which we dubbed as "Ice-pocalypse." very few of the students were able to gain entrance to their cars due to 3 inches of ice encapsulating the vehicles. The University shut down for two days. It was fun however that all of the fields between buildings were covered in an almost perfectly smooth sheet of ice and we were able to ice skate all over campus.
College Senior 2013-11-05T20:12:32Z
There is too little parking compared to the number of cars on campus. It is a trying task to find parking everyday.
College Senior 2013-11-05T20:09:07Z
Marian has been cracking down recently on underage drinking. Originally a dry campus, it is now alright for of age students to keep alcohol in their dorms as long as all members of the room/suite are 21+. This policy was put in place due to the traveling off campus students were doing to partake so they would not get a citation on campus. It caused some issues when those same students were returning to campus for the night. Now they take the standpoint of, "We abide by Federal and State laws when it comes to substances, but if you must drink, do it in a safe location (Campus)."

Health & Safety:
Taking care of safety and Health is of massive importance on campus. It's nearly impossible to go twenty (20) minutes without seeing a police officer within fifty (50) feet. The health center is very organized and accepts walk-ins but prefers to set up appointments in 15 minute intervals.
College Senior 2013-11-05T20:04:02Z
Marian just added a campus mainframe which helped a bit. but during crunch times of the semester it is not uncommon for campus provided internet access to be limited/slow or available at all. Three of the eight 'finals weeks' I have been apart of I was unable to access internet for at least 3 days.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
