Student Author OverviewWhat's This?

There is one thing you can be certain about: Marlboro College is not for everyone. It takes a certain person to come here and challenge themselves to an independently-created education. To give a student freedom and endless opportunity is often a scary concept. Additionally, to create a project that reflects four years of rigorous learning is quite the undertaking. But once embarked upon, a journey through Marlboro has infinite rewards.

Consistently growing in its respectable reputation, this school will forever strive to keep the learning process focused on and around the students. Walter Hendricks wanted to make education a conversation, and that’s what Marlboro College continues to do. The College has yet to change its approach to learning. As a student at Marlboro, you can expect to be tossed around, treated like an adult, and taken to new heights. Not everything is possible at Marlboro, but once a student graduates, they have the power to imagine anything and act upon their dreams.

Small Dorms Mean Great Relationships

All the dorms at Marlboro are pretty small, no more than say, 30 people in a dorm. The best dorms are the newly renovated Howland, Happy Valley because there are great parties and the rooms are pretty big. The worst are Shrader, Half-Way/ All-The-Way, Marlboro Gardens (aka the Trailer).

It's Freezing and Icy.

Most of the roads on campus aren't paved and so there is a huge problem with ice. Walking anywhere can prove to be a serious challenge. There are many days when you just want to stay inside to avoid the icy death outside or the ever-falling snow.

I Hope You Like Hippies and Hipsters

There are an abundance of hipsters here, and a few genuine hippies. Everyone sleeps with everyone and nudity is welcome always.

The girls don't shave and neither do the guys. If you don't like girls with hairy pits/legs and hipsters galore, you'll hate it here.
