The town of Marlboro has one real restaurant called the Marlboro College Dining Hall. Most other dining options can be found down the mountain in Brattleboro. A quick trip on a Friday or weekend can be a great getaway from the traditional “Marlboro Meal.” The town of Brattleboro has some great restaurants and cafés that are friendly, efficient, and for the most part, satisfactory. Downtown Brattleboro offers a diverse assortment of food from all over the world. Japanese, Thai, Chinese and Italian, are all within walking distance of one another. There are also all-American pizza and hamburger places here and there.
Further from Main Street you’ll find excellent choices for dining on the river, barbecue, and an assortment of good eats. Chinese and Thai are the most popular with students. Thai Garden and Panda North are the best options for these international specialties. Pizza from Frankie’s is also a reliable choice for evening takeout. For cafés and quick eats, Mocha Joe’s, the Twilight Tea Lounge, and Café Beyond are good places to pick up food or just hang out and chat. Brattleboro is pretty all-encompassing when it comes to unique and good places to eat.

Not Really Existent
Unless you want to go down to Brattleboro, which you can really only do with a car unless you want to stay for odd hours (either five hours or about half an hour for walking around town- those are the times the vans allow). If you do get into Brat, it has a few fair places to get food. Coffee shops and bakeries are your best bet, and if you have the money, Fireworks is AMAZING.If you can't get a ride, there is no off-campus dining. There is literally no where you could feasibly walk off campus that would give you food.

The only chains in town, as far as...
The only chains in town, as far as I know, are a McDonald’s, a Wendy’s, and a Pizza Hut. Maybe there’s something else, but if you’re really addicted to one chain or another, you’re out of luck.
Sometimes food on campus is...
Sometimes food on campus is really, really good, and sometimes it’s just so disgusting! If you want to eat in town, I’d recommend the Thai place downtown called Thai Garden. And Panda North is pretty good, also.
