If you are an outgoing person, I do not think it's hard to meet new people. There are a ton of activities to get involved with, and counselors who help students get more involved to meet new people.
They are extremely friendly and are willing to help anyone, but some may be a little too quiet.
The girls are nice. There are no catty situations on campus. Sure women aren'y always nice nor do they get always get along together, but nothing to bad to report on.
I agree, most are friendly but many are quiet or stick to their groups so it's hard to approach them while on their own.

The guys and girls at Marquette agree that the initial reaction when arriving on campus seems to be that the male population here is made up of mainly handsome hunks, whereas the female side is, for the most part, pretty Barbie wannabes. And there aren't a lot of attractive people who don’t fall into one of those categories. Above all else, Marquette students seem to recognize the fact that good-looking guys and girls are both here, so it is just a matter of finding the right fit for you and your personal tastes.
On the whole, Marquette is definitely not a dog pound. In fact, because the University’s population includes a collection of students from different states and countries, you may find just about everything and anything you are looking for.
