I've not had an internship or the offer to help find one from my advisers.

If you follow the rules, you won't have a problem. Parking is enforced hourly.

Most places to rent are over priced, with no \amenities, no off street parking. Obtaining a place, usually requires a background check and a credit check, proof of funds/incomes, and if you don't have it, your parents have to sign to be legally responsible for your rent. No where accepts pets and 1 year leases are hard to get out of when you go home in the summer.

Mostly average run of the mill fast food with a few chinese restaraunts too. Two can dine for less than $20 anywhere in the city.

Parking is very expensive and parking is not the best on campus. Police ticket way too easily as well.

The first year residence halls seem to be very strict. Alcohol consumption is a big policy that they enforce. However, it is supposed to be a tobacco free campus and people who smoke on campus still do not seem to be penalized.

There is obviously drug use by some people like every school. However, it is not openly used and if the school does find out about it, they do take action. There does not seem to be and peer pressure to do drugs.

There are many computers available for students to use. However, the wireless internet is very poor and rarely works without interruptions.

to get into the nursing program, one must apply by a certain deadline and then those who meet the criteria will be accepted. i encountered the challenge of the school only accepting a certain amount of students. so when i went to apply, it was already full and now i have to wait till next year.

i don't have an internship yet, but i do plan on getting one in the future. i think it should be semi-easy getting into one.

if you live on campus or in apartments near campus, its not hard to find a spot. however, if you commute and you don't have classes till later in the day, it can be extremely hard to find a spot. sometimes you may have to park far away from campus and walk for a while

so far, i love Marshall University. its close to home but not too close, the people are great. the campus has a lot to offer and its not too expensive

there have been some pretty bad stories about Greek life. however, there have also been some positive stories about them. some of them are good and others are bad.

There isn't that much to do in Huntington where the campus is located. there is a mall about 10 minutes away and a few other things. if you want to go shopping, you will have to drive a bit

Health & Safety:
There are cops that ride bikes around campus and there are many stations with emergency buttons in case you have an emergency.

Athletics are a big part of Marshall University and the facilities that the campus has for the athletes and non athletes are very nice
College Freshman 2013-11-11T16:33:07Z
The weather so far has been really nice. Some mornings have been a bit cold, but it's only rained a few times.

the off-campus housing selection at Marshall University is fairly decent. There are a lot of choices and almost all of them are really close to the Campus. it can be cheaper than living on campus but you also have your own food expenses which can be very costly. Overall, Marshall does a good job assisting students with off-campus housing.

As a person who could use scholarships, I found it very difficult to find scholarship opportunities.

I love the dining off campus options. The options include Indian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Italian, and even local fare!

Our campus offers a shuttle to the hospital and student health as well as a shuttle to the downtown area. These shuttles are free, which is great, but sometimes it is hard to fit a ride into your schedule.

Marshall's dorms range from very poor to excellent depending on where you are assigned. For example, the freshman dorms are an excellent transition to campus living as the provide the latest and top notch amenities when it comes to dorm living. You get one roommate, a personal bathroom, study centers, lounges with pool tables and table tennis, and even a theatre. The older dorms, however, are much smaller and provide the bare minimum.

There are bars and restaurants with bars in them. if you want a club, you'll need to go to the next town over. If you're just looking for cheap beer on tap, this town's a good place for it though
College Junior 2013-11-05T03:06:15Z
Lots of fast food, a few local places, but nothing super special that I've discovered so far
College Junior 2013-11-05T03:05:32Z
I really can't rate the Greek life since I'm not part of it
