I believe there is no housing the college. I believe the students need to find there own housing off campus.

Maryhurst University is in a beautiful setting. The university has historical to women history regarding education for women. Maryhurst University staff will go out their way to make you be successful. The teachers will not do your educational work for you but they will find what tools are needed to make you successful in your classes. The university is very personal with every student, by getting to know your goals and keeping in contact with the students every semester. The college has out standing teachers and staff.

The campus is easy to all classes. The staff is always willing to help you find any place that you need to go. I am honored to be able to go to this college.

There is no night life, because there are no on campus living quarters.

There really is only two options for on campus, the bookstore, or the restaurant, off campus there is a variety of restaurants, but can be time consuming.

It rains a lot here, it can be annoying if you are on campus for multiple classes. In the summer it is very nice.

Public transportation is really good, you can drive, but at times parking can be limited

The Marylhurst campus is outside of Portland. There is reliable bus service to the campus, but due to the length of the ride and the frequency of service, I feel that it would be better to ride share or drive, particularly if you have a tight schedule

The population at Marylhurst is very diverse. There are people of all ages, ethnic and religious backgrounds and economic backgrounds. Everyone mixes well on campus and the wide diversity of students in attendance allows students to see things from a variety of viewpoints.

Health & Safety:
To the best of my knowledge we do not have campus crime, personal safety issues, etc.

You really need to drive, weekend classes you only have so much time for breaks and lunch hour and the cafeteria and book store are now closed on the weekend.

Burgerville is close, it is quality fast food, yet expensive. McDonald's is fairly close also. Starbucks and grocery stores are close by also.

The financial aid process was a great experience. The financial aid department did not lose any of my information and helped me to identify areas in which I could make my finances better including scholarships and grants.

My major is Sustainable Business. It is a new field and is going to grow in the coming years as the world becomes more environmentally conscious. The workload is manageable and has provided a world of possible job opportunities in different industries.

There is a bit of rain throughout the year. Summers are beautiful, warm, sunny.

There is a bookstore café with few food selections and during the week the cafeteria is open for lunch but there are very few options.

Their professors are idiots. I have mostly A's throughout my college career. One professor failed me after turning in top-quality work throughout the class. I e-mailed him my final project and he said that it looked good. Then he gave me a 60 on it and failed me by 8/10 of 1%. The professors think they are all high and mighty and don't respect the students at all. Avoid this school!

If you can get past the rain, Portland is one of the most amazing cities in the nation. There are many different ethnicities present, strong art and music scenes, plenty of different places to eat, and the people embrace this diversity. It has been voted one of the places least likely to get mugged, so as far as bigger cities go, it is pretty safe.

The quality and depth of instructors in the Psychology department at Marylhurst is amazing, and I am honored to learn from so many gifted scholars. I would do it all again.
I believe I am being prepared for a promising career in the field of counseling psychology, as well as working with interpersonal disputes with my certificate in Conflict Resolution and Mediation,

Marylhurst has many new Apple and PC computers with large screens, all software, and web connections are provided, and there are ample machines in labs and at individual workstations in the library that are always in excellent working order.
Sorry, there are no reviews.
